Dunno but I was flabbergasted when I got 11 Helium from a chest yesterday. Never happened before from a chest drop. I think they tweaked something.

All of the bounty requirements are dumb, but I can't complain too much about that one. I did it in about five games running a void shotgun and a void RPG and just camping heavy ammo. My boots allow me to carry 7 rockets with three in the clip. Killing Xyor is extremely difficult solo, but possible.

It's a rare thing, I've also opened a chest where I got 2 blue engrams, an ammo synthesis pack, and 24 Spinmetal.
They are great in control and salvage, obviously, but less so in deathmatch. I'd say locate the areas on the map with the most traffic and use the bubble accordingly. It will still be situational. I use it to buff my health, pop out and shoot at enemies, and run back in to recover.
I really just ran the hell around, turning invisible when in danger. I liked to keep cover in between phogoth and I. It took quite a few attempts because of the Knights and their goddamn splash damage boomers.

It's hard as fuck but I'm sure it can be done. I made it to Phogoth and got xyor to spawn but then I died because I got greedy. That room where you have to deal with those 3 waves is the real test, in my opinion.

Very mechanically rough not very difficult. Its just mechanics when they don't work or if glitches it will screw you and you'll wipe, but the fight isn't really hard.
Yeah I have endless problems with the fireteam chat in this game. Usually wind up making PSN parties for voice comm because of it, even when it is working right I feel like the mix (at least for Dolby) makes it impossible to hear people in combat.
Either way, it went pretty smooth. Got some more shards and Praedyth's Revenge; was hoping for the boots, but I don't have a void sniper so I guess it's not that bad.
Just tried Thorn out...Bungie owes this weapon a ridiculous buff. Maybe an impact increase, mag increase? My rare big chief, silvered maverick, shit, I think my uncommon bandit are better hand cannons. And no, a DoT, would not significantly change my mind. I'll soldier on, though, out of my love for hand cannons more than anything.
Just to note: my 500 void points depended on a) playing skirmish b) using a fusion rifle AND invisibility to get the drop on people whenever I could c) a (what I consider) very good void lmg with a non-crap team. Mind you, this is all for what appears to be a mediocre reward. Bungie, just give me my Last Word.
Neither would I. Most annoying part of the bounty, and that should tell you something, as the whole bounty was an annoyance, NOT an "experience" as I'm sure Bungie would like to put it.

What happens if you're in a darkness zone and you just retreat all the way back out to try to cheese it and regroup?
Say you were fighting phogoth and you just said fuck it and ran all the way back out? Will he regain life or something?

you can do it in strikes, but not the raid. you wont spawn until everyone dies or a checkpoint

It's the only environmental mechanic in the game, so gotta give them credit for something.
I don't know the exact names, but the Titan helmet that makes enemies blind when entering bubble shield, Hunter helm that gives extra golden gun shot, warlock gauntlets that offer extended solar grenade (sunbreaker?), red death (pulse rifle) and exotic engram for helmets. He's also selling the other stuff (telemetry, sparrow upgrades, etc.)
Lol, I loved this part, because there's always the one person that can't do it, and it's a nice break from the formulaic crap that Bungie made us plow through. I believe there's a specific designer for raids as opposed to other parts of the game; I think the raid designer needs to be put as head of all level design, period.

I don't have a lot of hand cannons so I'm not particularly sure how it compares to others but from using Thorn I thought the damage it deals is fine. The major problems it has are magazine side and reload speed. If Bungie buffs both of those then I'll be using my Thorn quite a bit.
Depends on what your looking to do. I play aggressive defense. I'll run into an enemy occupied control point(or heavily enemy congested area) and drop the bubble in air and start shotgunning and punching. Take the point right out from underneath them. If people are smart they stay away, if they do drop it like its hot...seriously start dancing or tbagging in your shield. It's a mental game(do what ever it takes to get under their skin), 90% of the time they end up coming in to their death. Also you don't have to stay in your bubble. Play around it, it's just your safe haven. I plant it leave the area watch as enemies enter it thinking it's friendly, jump in from above and start punching. If you use the exotic chest and spec for max orbs your pretty much a paladin. 2 titans can just keep up a bubble the whole round...not to mention the constant supers your entire team will have. My nephew and I destroyed a few teams 2v3 on skirmish(~5000vs~1000). They finally got smart and started to use specials to smash our shield with supers but those were few and far between.

I am in the process of the bad juju bounty (not very far in.. only 5 strikes so far) but I just got my 23rd strange coin. Do you think I should buy the one from Xur, or save the strange coins for a different gun and stick with bad juju. Wasn't sure if Xur's is better. (Pulse and AR are my favorite two guns)

We got past the gatekeeper part on hard mode and now we're finally fighting Atheon. I've never been so happy to see ascendant shards pop up haha.
Atheon needs to drop me something nice though. I'll be pissed if I complete hard mode and only get energy/shards. Some of the chests didn't even give me anything. I better get some raid gear or atleast a raid weapon.

Ok weird incident:
Went with a friend to patrol Venus and farm for some spirit blooms. he is new to the game so I tell him to follow me to the next area so I can show him a level 20+ praetorian. When we enter the area he says he is on a loading screen and I say no biggie it should go away in a couple seconds and let him enter. His loading screen never ends and he has to restart.
I venture forward and notice there is no praetorian standing guard at the area and I see the level icons for 6 other players. I watch for a second and realize I'm in the area where where the Raid happens. It hits me that I am watching a raid happen when I see the red circles rise out of the ground. So I run up and start shooting at shit and help a couple of the players kill a praetorian. When done they turn their characters and just stare at me. At this point I am laughing myself to death wondering what they are thinking.
I leave the area and go to the next one and my friend rejoins me and we head back and the raid is gone. I just keep thinking what those players reactions were. "Who the hell is this guy and why do we suddenly have 7 players??"
