so i decided to get this helm for pve/raiding? i guess. set me back to lvl 28 instead of 29 but whatever, it feels better when i use my defender perk

also RNGESUS didnt bless me last night, he gave me a hunter helm from Xur's engram

Seriously it was fun. though I had to try 3 times before nailing it.

My Hunter was practically useless for this week's Nightfall. Three shots from the Golden Gun might take down one psion, Arc Blade just puts me in the middle of a big mess, and the ground wave (actually does something if it connects) mostly fizzles out since it's stopped by any object, or change in elevation. The only thing I had was the Arc Grenade. The Hunter needs some kind of PvE perk bad.

Sure, it's nice to get an Oracle in one shot, but with the time wasted doing the charge up animation, and getting back to my Suros isn't really worth it. I can cut down the Oracles just fine with the Suros alone. Plus, I have an Oracle shotgun.

I don't know what level you are, but my Arc Blade worked pretty well against the psions. Arc grenade helped too. Mostly it was the Arc Weapons though, and as long as you have them your super doesn't really matter.
 
Just hit 27 with my Titan... probably going to try and do the raid later. Chests and stuff between characters aren't shared in the raid, right?

For normal or hard?

I was under the impression any decent upgraded weapon could handle both just fine.

In normal mode we didn't /need/ the Hunter super once. Handled the oracles with just our guns.
 
Golden Gun does one-shot Supplicants as well. Also on hard you want to be getting back through the portal as quick as possible. Golden Gun significantly reduces the time in there.

I rarely had the chance to try arc blade on psions on their own. It always left me in the middle of turtles with rockets and heavy shields. And yeah, Hunters super didn't matter, that's the point. Sunbro's self resurrect defiantly did matter, and the Titan bubble protecting during a revive and adding buffs to the situation mattered.

The Hunter Super didn't bring anything to the table that an Arc Fusion rifle couldn't.

Winning? Top scoring person isn't the winner, the team is. Regardless, I see them top the scoreboard as often as any other class.

If you mean rumble then Titans excel in cqc, I see them win Rumble all the time.

My point. Everyone can do damage.

I'm not saying hunters are bad in pve, but they do offer less to the team imo.

I meant all modes. It's usually hunters or warlocks doing the best from what I see. I do go out of my way to kill striker titans though.

Nope, but I don't need to. All I want to do with my alt is daily,weekly, nightfall, raid and strike playlist. And PvP of course.

Bladedancer unlocked from get go, you don't have to wait till lvl 15 on alt ;)

I honestly think that's more to do with the fact that there's a massive amount more of those classes being played than Titan's being less effective.

My Titan friends and I regularly top the boards and win rounds. I don't find it any easier to win on my Hunter.

All anecdotal though, of course.

Maybe. Being in a group likely helps. The player's ability matters more than the class anyway.

They are bad in PvE. Even the perks on their Exotic gear is weak. My Titan friend can drop a bubble in front of a spawn, and everything that comes out is stupefied thanks to his helmet. The best Hunter helmet gives me one extra golden gun shot...

I just don't think the golden gun and arc blade scale well. They are great at lower levels, but don't get stronger as you level up. Imagine a Titan bubble that could take only X amount of damage. It can last 30 seconds fighting level 10 mobs, but that X doesn't change when you level up to level 28 mobs. So now the bubble is only lasting 8 seconds. Would anyone use it?

and yet, next game you DO get something and dont post a picture. somewhere else in the country though is a teammate cursing the world for not getting anything.

Hunters are bad even in PvP. Yes you can do well with either super, but I couldn't tell you the amount of times I've just been shut down during arc blade and golden gun is the same because you have no shield or additional armor.

It's a joke really. I rarely use arc blade in pvp because I have to time it just right.
 
Our raiding party called it at night at the final boss. We had it down but I think everyone was just tired. It looks like two of the people in our raid won't be returning and we're going to have to get replacements. If they help beat the final boss, are they shut out from getting the previous chests if we run it again in the same week?

I didn't get jack from the raid this week beyond Ascendant Energies so far. I really want a Hunter helmet.
 
I spent a few more hours on this again last night. Managed to get another mote of light and I suddenly had enough to buy the exotic engram from Xur. It was 3am at the time and I was so tired I'd lost the ability to give a damn. Blew it all on the engram and thankfully got the Light Beyond Nemesis helmet. Usually I wouldn't have risked it but it paid off nicely in the end.

Exactly.

Of course there will be games where you get nothing. Random is random. How about taking pictures of 100 games in a row and posting the results instead of a single game and using it to show how broken it is.

It's the pause when you use their supers. In PvP you'll end up dead before you can use them because for a second you're posing like a tit!
