Lol, I considered trying the Titan thing but getting 6 Titans to co-ordinate bubbles seemed like an issue. "Stack, pop super, melt boss, return to positions" seemed like overcomplications.

I don't really understand what Bungie wants to do with the game.

They are trying to bleed the grind more
That's why all these weird little roadblocks are put in place
The community tries to break through the roadblocks by circumventing around them in a way
Dev just puts a new roadblock where the circumvention took place, rather than realize why in the first place people were circumventing it

People will grind but don't put to many barriers to off-put them
Everyone was OK with 100 Marks weekly, but the 200 Mark Cap overall was some Grade A Horse Shit. Your forcing your community to get cornered in very easily.
The limit should have been 500 overall each for Vanguard and Crucible. That's at least 5 weeks worth, this way even if a player gets tired he has a nice chunk if the DLC drops and could buy something new.

truthfully i dont play pvp all that much in fpses these days but being smart, using the radar and generally sticking to areas more advantageous to cqc.

dont try to run out in the open too much since the ARs will still chew you apart. if you have to prevent a death by swapping weapons to take out another player do it. trying to focus purely on all kills with the void weapon usually leads to more deaths.

i completed all of mine in the deathmatch mode. figured it would be faster than the team based stuff.

I don't get in the open. If someone is on my radar I just make sure I have enough space to take them out with my auto rifle or fusion rifle if they rush me. I get lots of melee kills too if I am in CQC...just can't get the shotgun kills perfected. My strategy is working. I started off Crucible around .4 k/d and today I posted a best of 24 kills with a 4.4 k/d ratio. If I could learn how to blink/slide/shotgun/melee I would dominate.

You'll probably be matched against people your own level, if not, then RIP lol.

I, for one, am really looking forward to no longer being nerfed in PvP, for a short time at least. Scout Rifles and the rest will end up shining I think due to their large impact stats.

Every time I do that mission, we take the boss out so fast it takes a while for the game to register so we get killed by the hobgoblins because they don't despawn.

I saw my first purple engram drop today after the patch, a gauntlet which I seriously needed for my Hunter (which I was playing as). And Cryptard turned it into Warlock gauntlet, and this was a day after I purchased Sunbreakers from Xur.

Seriously, how did this shit get past Alpha, Beta and multiple patches?

I helped a group of guys out last night who seemed to be struggling opening the Vault Of Glass. I was on a random Venus mission when I came across them so decided to land a hand in taking out the minotaurs for them.

After opening the Vault I thought I'd pop in and have a look about, as I've yet to tackle it. It all looked very nice until I tried to turn around and head out, only to find the door shut behind me.

...Also after 84 hours on my main character I finally got my first exotic bounty. Went for Pocket Infinity based on recommendations on here but dayum it's a real pain getting the 10 rare fusion rifles to break down. Any tips or am I just at the mercy of RNG?

i got lucky with mine. weapons guy was selling rare fusions one day so I stalked up on them knowing i'll be getting to that part later in the bounty. so maybe check him periodically also.

Also, having my first taste of the Raid last night has had a profound effect. It's made me re-evaluate everything from weapon load out (gimme the Void) to class load out.

To any high-level Bladedancers; I've become the stealth/emergency medic of my group, thanks to the various means to go invisible. The routine is normally crouch until I go invisible, run, Blink Strike to invisibility if need be, followed by a stealth revive. It's very effective.

But the Arc Blade super is pretty redundant unless it's standard mobs, or you're in a tight spot and need a defense boost and need to thin things out a little. Despite looking cool, I never use Showstopper now.

Do you think it's better to have the Invisibility option on the super, for tanks/stealth revives/GetOutOfJailFree?

What sort of builds are high-level Hunters running?

I use the Grim Citizen 3 and love it, I'm a Warlock and have upgraded all the way, prefer it so much more than Dr Nope. I did get the raid AR as well at the weekend and sharded it before realising that it dishes out void damage as a primary weapon! /doh

No doubt it will drop again for me though at some point.

Well I used Epilogue in the Raid and while its handy to unload on Minotaur shields its pretty fucking useless otherwise. Oracle killing isn't much faster either.

Got my first Exotic Bounty last night. Did all the stages in an evening to get Invective. It's a pretty cool shotgun but what the hell is up with reload? Slowest reload I've seen on any shotgun, thank god for the Force Barrier perks on my Titan. I would guess it's some way to balance out the gun's superior rate of fire for a shotgun. I thought the 50 Special Ammo Synthesis thing was a little heavy handed considering I'd just done a series of challenges. Luckily I had enough glimmer to cover the cost but damn.

Unfortunately, as much as I want to use Invective, it's an odd fit for my Titan at the moment as I now have 4 exotic weapons; The Monte Carlo, Red Death, Mida Multi-Tool and now Invective. Obviously I can only use one and the Monte Carlo is by far my best weapon. The unique upgrade for it refills the melee charge for every bit of damage dealt, meaning I can use Disintegrate and get a Force Barrier every 20 seconds or so. Couple the extra shielding Force Barrier offers with the speedy reloading and weapon switching perk AND add to that I have No Back Up Plans (the exotic guantlets that speed up my melee, speed up special weapon reloads and extend the duration Force Barrier) and I'm essentially an unstoppable punching machine. The Monte Carlo compliments my build and strategy so well.

And the only Primary weapons I have are exotics. I literally had to use some piece of shit Uncommon hand cannon to be able to try out the Invective since you can only have one exotic weapon active at a time.

I have such wealth and it brings me nothing but vexation ;_;

Yep, the only reason I'm/was hanging on to them was that they have different Int/Disc/Str.

Just got my first "proper" purple engram yesterday, which resulted in the Hard Light exotic auto-rifle. That thing has massive earthquake like recoil. Does it get any better? Worth upgrading it?
