Wait what? That didn't really happen did it?
I do understand, I just think it's kinda bullshit that people are preventing themselves from enjoying games because of essentially console wars.
well, there could be anything in that setup. Wouldnt be the first time if the console was just there for the looks![]()
I don't think there were many. Were there many games last generation where the 360 was held back for PS3?
Can we just ask how you know what MS is and isn't ok with? Are you a new insider?
Far Cry 4's been 1080p30 with HRAA since E3.

This thread got me thinking about the future. Got me thinking hard.
How big of a shitstorm do you think would befall GAF if CDPR announced The Witcher 3 was running at the same resolution and framerate on both consoles (anything below 1080p)?
"Parity" sets the crazies off.
What?Nope. Remember when Phantom Pain was showed at E3 2013 on MS's stage?
Then after the ground zeroes Graphics comparision, MS told Kojima to never come back to their stage again, and thus Sony picked them up.
Assassin's Creed Unity |OT| Liberté, égalité, parité
What incentive does Ubisoft have to force parity if money isn't exchanging hands with Microsoft?Simply based on the differences between multiple previous multiplats maybe? The strange "792p" (instead of 720p) resolution for certain games? Not really hard.
I would join the "it's MS fault"- club if Call of Duty AW and Evolve also run at the same sub-1080p resolution on both systems for the same "reason".
well, you won't get my 50 dollars then ubi. Will wait for 1080p patch or $5 bomba bargain sale.
You guys are just overreacting, what does it matter if PS4 owners are getting a gimped product?

Look at the release media for Xbox One in the first year.
Kojima is in the Xbox One developers video at the announce event.
PP opens MS's conference.
Suddenly after the Graphics Comparison trailer, MS support stopped, and Sony support entered full swing.
Its safe to assume MS PR wasn't happy a game they were advertising is being shown of as inferior to the competition.
Why wouldn't anyone want the best out of a device they bought? Why should one version of a game be gimped just because the other console is weaker? You guys are just overreacting, what does it matter if PS4 owners are getting a gimped product?
CPU on xone
hasn't any sort of advantages. Quite the opposite in the little numbers.
MS paying for parity/third party timed exclusives like Tomb Raider makes me think Spencer is no different than his douchey comments near the xb1 reveal and it's why I have no interest in an XB1 unless everyone involved with it's creation are fired.

Let's not be naive.
I find it odd that some members love to be a part of "detective-GAF" and find truth-facts behind parity and some (don't know if there is an overlap) others openly admonish these facts when they come straight from the source.
So much for appreciating transparency.

I just don't understand why people get so worked up over this stuff. If you have been interested in AC: Unity up until now, passing because of parity seems so pointless. Just play the game. Losing sleep over pixels is not a good look.
How is it overreaction?
