Did Kuvira (sp?) fight Zaheer also? Or did she not have a chance to go at him. I'm still amazed that the tons of top tier metal benders weren't able to do shit to that guy.

I think she was there when he tried to kidnap Korra in the Metal Clan city whose name I won't try and spell. And she might take a few shots at him before she rescues Tonraq? But then she gets left behind when they head off to rescue Korra and the airbenders.

She was knocked down the cliff early in the fight when they tried to rescue Korra.

So, uh ... what is it about?
Wakfu follows the story of Yugo, a mysterious child that has the ability to create and jump through portals. He begins a journey to find his parents and the origins of his powers, since some dragon dropped him off at his adoptive fathers a few years ago. He meets and travels with a group of friends, including a druid princess, a female archer who fires her bow like a full automatic weapon, some old greedy man who loves his friends only slightly more than money and a brave warrior, who don't know anything about resolving problems without violence.
All the while a mighty timelord is gathering power.

Wakfu has wonderful humor, exciting fights, sympathetic characters and a rich, constant lore.

Oh my Jesus Christ, that looks like Book 2 all over again.
Except Wakfu has it's lore and storytelling intact.
I'm getting a Ragnarok Online (game, not the anime) and Oban Star Racers vibe from that. I'll check it out.
Awesome :)
And you're on the right track there. Wakfu is part of the Wakfu MMORPG and tells a story in it's universe.

Yeah she was there with a bunch of Metal City guards but none of them attacked Zaheer or really got close to him as they had the little issue of dealing with P'Li trying to blow them up. Plus Zaheer flew away after P'li was dealt with.

Storytelling huh, I've always been a sucker for that kind of stuff. (Since I'm trying to get into writing myself) I might take a look at it.

Bryan giving a little info about the latest Aang picture.

Our portrayals of adult Aang up to this point had always been so serious. We though this was a perfect opportunity to show that deep down he was still the same fun-loving trickster. P.S. Ryu drew both of these, something like 9 years apart!

Thanks. I've heard of it before but wasn't familiar with the story or setting at all. I'll give it a watch some time.

All these Game of Thrones references :lol :lol :lol

Well other than Game of Thrones and Avatar/Korra, what other epic fantasy TV series have enjoyed any level of quality or success in the last 15 years? The BBC's Merlin, maybe? I'm not surprised that there's overlap in the fandoms.

I don't think Avatar and GoT have that much in common. GoT is just a hugely popular show, everyone watches it.

Didn't expect Toph to look like that. And wasn't she taller in the Season 3 flashback? Same could be said about Katara though o.o
Anyway, my favourite character is back! And that reaction video is pure gold :D

They're near opposite ends of the genre, but they're both epic fantasy.

Obviously GOT is more popular at this point, but the Avatar franchise is nothing to sneeze at either.
