PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | October 2014

I am talking about Miku. Higher res videos can get quite large (obviously), upping the res for 30+ music videos would've made it go above 4gb, I'd imagine.
Well the videos aren't pre-rendered, since you can customize your performers. They're all in-game and it looks pretty good, so I guess they had to pull down the resolution to get it to run smoothly.
It's not that noticeable while playing though, but it looks so bad in menus when you see your performers model. Thankfully they amended this in PDF 2nd, where it's apparently sub-native while playing, and native in menus.

totp: buy the hatsune miku games while on sale wherever you are

I never played it but I'm pretty sure there are no videos in the game other than maybe the intro.

As for your question, just look at PDf 2, it's native res.

She/He is reffering to the videos in the background whenever you play a song. I don't know how they're stored, though (if it's just a video file being played or what have you). and I don't think PDF2 is full native res? I thought I heard the res changed depending on the content.

^^ well that answered that.

What does game size have do with being native res or not?

I think the logic was that they wanted the game to be smaller, lower res = smaller file. But since the games render the "music video" in real time, it's irrelevant.

I just realized that the like... official art or whatever for minecraft shows bats, even though bats weren't added until a later update (I believe). Odd decision.

Entirely possible. Just make sure the account with PS+ is set as the "Primary PS4".

More information here.

Another question: My Account is American. My brother's is Brazilian. Won't there be any conflict on PSPlus? As far as I know, American and Brazilian Plus are the same, but I don't know if it can be shared

Anybody have any experience selling PSN game code vouchers on ebay? Seems silly to mail them, but I don't think ebay has it set up to where you can just email someone their code, right? Plus, they could redeem it, say it didn't work, demand a refund etc

I'm pretty sure Ebay doesn't allow you to sell digital goods (like codes) but I'm not sure how expansive that policy is.

And while you can, as suggested you'll have no choice but to refund the moment they lie and say it didn't work, but even worse you'll have no proof of shipment so if they do a credit card chargeback not only will you lose the money but you'll be paying the ebay fees, paypal fees, and a $20 chargeback fee on top of it. So I'd say trade it on GAF..

My anime girl face collection is shaping up nicely

Am I doing this right guys

Yeah, sounds like a no go... do we have a dedicated thread for that on GAF? I never bookmarked it.

While we're at it, someone link me to the giveaway thread that I can never find, 'cause I'm always getting extra steam codes for games none of my friends are into.

I sold my last Smash Demo on eBay, didn't really have any issues. It was a NA code and someone in London bought it, kinda weird but he paid immediately and didn't say the code didn't work or anything. Probably has an import.

Also: Just me or is PSN really really really slow? It's been 2 hours and I'm only at 2% for Mirror's Edge.

Miku's kicking my ass. Some of these stages are really distracting for hitting notes and i'm sure thats intentional but still annoying. I really hate thinking i'm doing awesome on a stage hitting long combo's but end up with a Lousy and i'm left going "WTF??"

Hmmm one of those isn't a face.

Look closer.

Are the two of you sharing the same console? If so, there won't be any conflicts if all your brother wants to do is play online. The region of the account shouldn't matter.

The only thing that he can't do is use any PS+ features (i.e. redeem PS+ games, buy PS+ discounted titles, auto upload saves, auto download patches, etc.)

Yes, same console.
Thanks a lot for the answer, I was getting a bit worried that I would have to sign Plus twice...

Finally bought Project Diva f.. and my 8gb card is full. Don't feel like ordering another 64gb from Amazon since this happened last time..
My "64GB" vita card arrived today.
I got sent an 8GB card :I
So now I have to return it and wait for them to send me a replacement.. sigh.

Barely got a refund for that yesterday since they lost my return package. Not sure if I want to try superufo instead..

The lack of Gumi/IA in project diva saddens me, most of my favorite Vocaloid songs are from them.
At least IA is getting her own Vita game though.

It's very unlikely that Gumi, IA, or any non-Crypton Vocaloid will ever appear in a Project Diva game.

IA/VT Colorful has been delayed several times already. I honestly hope it'll turn out to be a good game. It looks decent from what I've seen so far.

Just wanted to say that Minecraft on Vita has great performance once the chunks have loaded.. (once you've explored the area).

I was exploring beneath my homestead, which I built on top of the ice. And discovered a large chasm going into what seems like forever, extremely deep. I could see far into the distance and had no performance drops, everything was a smooth 30fps. Even as I jumped down.

I died a few times down there, until I remembered I had two tame wolves waiting for me at home. Bringing them down with me was a great idea and allowed me to recover my dropped items!

Not really. I recall Ys: MoC is only like 700MB large and PDF is 2.6GB. It's a performance choice.
And the biggest Vita card size is 3.3GB or something.
Shame that Ys looks so bad when it's pretty low-poly and only runs at 30fps or lower.

Man really wish Celceta ran at a better framerate or at best was 30 FPS consistent. The Chinese PC release better get added to Steam in the near future @_@

Any impressions on Knytt Underground?

Not sure if I wanna get that... Or Hatsune Miku Vita.

I thought it was quite good. It's like a foul-mouthed metroidvania with hardly any combat and lots of exploration. It also has the most obscure trophies of any game I've played; it's quite possible to play through the whole thing without getting any of them unless you use a guide.

Don't listen to the haters. Knytt Underground is AMAZING. You get to explore a huge map and have to solve puzzles along the way. The puzzles are clever, and moving around the map feels quick and fluid. Seriously, this is one of my top indie games.

Edit: Forgot to say. Definitely go with Knytt Underground. Only way I'd recommend PDf over it is if you're a huge music rhythm fan.

Thought it was pretty average and got bored quick.

I don't recommend Knytt Underground at all. You're going to regret buying it if you do.

How far did you guys play?

Disgaea 5 is currently a PS4 exclusive, right? er, currently announced to be a PS4 exclusive, I mean. What are the chances it goes multiplat/we geta handheld port within a reasonable time period?

They've said that the Vita can't handle D5, so it's highly unlikely we'll ever see it on a handheld, let alone within a reasonable time.

Maybe there's a ps4 hardware thread but just figured I'd ask here.

Now some of you guys may not be near your ps4 a lot throughout the day but I am. This has been happening for as long as I can remember.

Every now and then while my PS4 is off (not standby, just completely off) the fan will kick on for about a second and then turn off. It's not something that happens every day (or maybe it does and I'm not around it) but tonite it's done it twice. I haven't even played my ps4 since yesterday. Anyone ever notice this?

tldr - when ps4 is completely off the fan will turn on for a brief second and then turn off. Happens rarely.

More like they can't do an effortless port. That's unfortunate, but understandable. I'm not the biggest fan of Disgaea anyhow, so I'm not too broken up about it.

This Miku thing is something special I tell ya! Laughed quite a bit when the Leek song was the tutorial level. That's so off base! Couple things.

Game! Why you punish me for just wanting to watch your music videos?
Can I replace all the modules with Miku?
Ai Kotoba in this game in some way shape or form and how do I access it?
That heartbreak when you replace Len with Miku and Len's voice comes out of Miku's body T_T
These art loading screens are amaze.
