The Season of Xbox will begin on November 2, when Xbox One will be available for a special, limited-time promotional offer of $349 in the U.S. Special promotional pricing of $50 off the console of your choice applies to any Xbox One console, including special edition bundles, offering some of the year’s most anticipated games – Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Sunset Overdrive.

Looks like they are making their push. Wonder if Sony will do anything.

More from Major Nelson...

Lock if old. (lock it up...lol)

I doubt it. But I guess they'll still be satisfied with their fall revenue as Microsoft will be bleeding money this fall (but they can easily take those hits)
It's all about building that userbase and close the gap as much as possible, pretty good deal nonetheless.

wonder if eu bros will get the same deal...then again i think they've been getting bundled games for awhile now?

They are doing this for months in Europe but effect is marginal, because X1 is getting so smashed by PS4 around here that is not even funny anymore..

I guess those npd numbers have really shaken them up, they cant afford for sony to build a massive lead in there back yard as usa and uk are there only real strong markets.

The CoD bundle is $499, so it should be $449, not $349. Unless they're lumping it in, in which case that's by far the best deal given the 1TB HDD.

Maybe Black Friday sales will push it a little lower. If I could get one with a ending value of about $300 (so like $350 with a $50 GC or something) i'd be all over it.

Wow, 349.99, bundles as well? Very interesting indeed.

EDIT: Actually, thinking more about it, I still say this is an interesting move, but I hope for MS this doesn't devalue Xbox One too much in the eyes of the customers, in the long run. Still, again, very interesting. And it'll probably bring results during the Holidays.

Weve been getting some crazy unofficial deals since titanfall hit, online you could get titanfall bundle with kinect for £329 at the time. The leatest deals is two games for £349.

Hehehehehehe, I paid $500 for mine and got a DAY ONE achievement!

:/

Saltiness aside, hope they can sell a lot of consoles this holiday season.

Why would they drop the price if SO bundles are sold out?

Weren't they only sold out at Amazon? I thougth that was the case, in which case, perhaps Amazon had little faith in the XBO selling and didn't get a lot of them stocked.

If Microsoft don't act now during this holiday season, they're accepting the L for the generation. And whatever people might say about being happy just making a profit off a decent install base, that's not why MS in the business. So this is good to see.

I always thought the XB1 was a fundamentally ugly box, but damn if that white one isn't trying to make me change my mind. And that's the Sunset Overdrive bundle, too. And those reviews...

Fair play to Microsoft, they've made a console I absolutely hated at launch into something very desirable. If money wasn't an issue I would pick one up.

I really don't see consumers ignoring a $349 Xbox One with the Master Chief Collection. That's an enticing price. It'll be interesting to see if Sony responds at all.

well you've had it one year earlier though...

OT, deal is crazy great, 350$ including a game? Sould sway some people....

Including bundles that's kinda nuts. But, sigh, it plays into the pessimistic narrative that's been developing the entire year. I... might bite at this price after some first-party stuff next year since I'm assuming this will turn into a permanent cut.

Awaiting the "What will Sony do?" threads. I'm not sure they have to do anything. Some people are wondering why there's no official GTAV bundle (and it's extremely, extremely late to offer one this close to release) so perhaps they're saving that as a pack-in for the holidays. That would also be competitive and have the biggest imaginable name recognition.
