What you're looking for is this guy.
I'm fine with Korra growing as long as she doesn't kill Kuvira in the end. The show needs to learn that killing a villain isn't the only way to resolve them.I'm hoping it makes the conclusion that much more poignant and profound for her character... But I am worried it's to draw things out, I guess.
Pretty torn so far. Despite what I said above, the latest episode and 'Korra Alone' are the only ones I can say were really good.
Never even seen that one before o_0

I don't even want that. Reason with her. It's the best way to show the evolution of Korra. Yes you can punch through Kuvira or strip her of her power, but that's more old Korra. If Korra is supposed to grow this season then she shouldn't be allowed to punch her problem into obliteration or negate her problem by neutering it as well. I know it's not going to happen, but her finding some sort of common ground with Kuvira and reasoning with her would be better way to resolve the conflict. Kuvira is doing the same kind of crap that Korra did and that's letting her ego do all the thinking. Kuvira is just way more savvy on how to do it though. Maybe it's because I actually tend to like the villainous characters which is making me a bit bias I guess, but her surviving as is, but finding a new outlook is a good way to end Kuvira's arc. She's not a Gundam villain. She could just take away her bending. Boom, solved.

It would be good to show the evolution of Korra, but it would take some crazy balls for them to close out the show with "Korra negotiated with Kuvira, and everything was okay."I don't even want that. Reason with her.
It doesn't do that frequently though?
Fixed. That few? This season is going by fast.
Need more Kuvira that doesn't suck.
Um pretty much every book so far has had a villain die in it.
Book 1
Book 2
- Amon and Tarrlok have a little incident with their boat.
Book 3
- Unalaq is killed due to the whole Jinora spirit light thingy.
- Everyone except for Zaheer in the Red Lotus crew dies grisly deaths.
- Ghazan crushed to death.
- Ming-Hua gets electrocuted by Mako.
- P'Li's head gets blown up.
Ha looking back at it Book 3 was not a good time to be a villain.
They're over doing it.
Not many at the hand of the actual Avatar was more what I was thinking.
P'li has to be my "favourite" fatality though if there can be one.
And while there's a good amount of "smaller deaths", I still respect the hell out of the first series for "weakening" its main big bad than finishing him.
so what's the origin to this playful/cocky danceSmug overconfident naive fools.
Love me some smug Kuvira.

Amon > Zaheer > Kuvira >>>>> Unalaq.
Just saw the last episode and i think the only reason Korra lost was because she didnt really believe in what she was fight for so that held her back, struggling to do the right think and appease both side is limiting her power. Kuvira is strong, but the fight wouldnt have been such a push-over if Korra would been more convinced that she is on the right side.
But i gotta say, Kuvira is great.
Did Jim Kelly/Bruce Lee ever do this in a movie?
But she hasn't sucked, she's been awesome so far.Fixed.
Should have elaborated, she's great at kicking ass, but sucks at being an interesting villain. But she hasn't sucked, she's been awesome so far.
Give her time. It's only episode 6!Should have elaborated, she's great at kicking ass, but sucks at being an interesting villain.
I want to believe!Give her time. It's only episode 6!
I wouldn't ask you to believe if I didn't believe myself.I want to believe!
Fair enough. Honestly I hope we see more smug Kuvira as that's the most fun i've had with the character so far.Should have elaborated, she's great at kicking ass, but sucks at being an interesting villain.
Not enough Kuvira I know.Frustrating episode.
She should've been like this from episode one. Trash talking those bandits before she kicks their asses. If she said, "Those rocks you keep chucking at me can't touch me fools" it would've been pretty fun. If they showed she gets a kick out of embarrassing people in fights it would've helped her character. It gives her a quirk and would show how cocky she is from the outset. If she went to every nation and said, "bring out your strongest fighter. After I finish beating them your nation is mine." Without even giving an option for her possible loss, because she doesn't believe that she can lose. They should have fun with it. Kuvira obviously loves to fight.Fair enough. More like not enough Asami. Looking forward to that reunion in the next episode. Not enough Kuvira I know.![]()

There's nothing wrong with her acting a bit like Toph since Toph turned out to be one of the worst parents in ATLA history. Her actually "Uniting" would've been interesting to see because I can only assume she did it a lot more politically correct than the way she is now. I'd like to think she started off as an idealist. Her being the way she is currently was probably because she ran into some very hard to negotiate with people. Since Kuvira is not a half ass person she just moved onto strong arm tactics. She doesn't really seem "mean" or anything. Su and her twins are still alive. Anybody would've had them tortured and executed in front of Opal before the episode ended.Ha you pretty much describe Toph perfectly there. Sounds like they should have had Toph as the villain.
But yeah I suppose they could have showed a bit more of smug Kuvira from the start. Though some of the cockyness did show up in the earlier episodes with all the smirks she kept giving such as the one she gave after defeating the bandits.
It would have also been nice if they showed more of Kuvira uniting the earth Kingdom rather than as the show did placing us right at the end of the whole process.
Smug overconfident naive fools.

Kuvira>>>>>AsamiMore like not enough Asami. Looking forward to that reunion in the next episode.
Bushido Brown would've done a better job than Korra.Yeah Bushido did kinda do it too.

so what's the origin to this playful/cocky dance
someone posted Bebop earlier but I really don't think the creators got it from that. Bushido Brown from The Boondocks did it in his last fight before he died. Brown is based off Jim Kelly
Did Jim Kelly/Bruce Lee ever do this in a movie?
Kuvira>>>>>Asami
I'm sorry, my friend, but it's the truth.
Bushido Brown would've done a better job than Korra.
It was a joke. Without bending a normal human isn't in a good position. But he did fight three incredible fighters with amazing teamwork at once.not sure why you think that, considering how that fight ended up
y'all are too hard on Korra
Aang lost fights too, ya know.
Haha, yeah. Bruce did the playful dance a lot, I know that, but what I was asking is if there was specific scene where he did the exact same movements that Kuvira and Bushido Brown did in their fights.Bruce Lee did it in pretty much every movie
Basically, any time you see any loosey-goosey shoulder-work, touching the nose with a thumb, hopping around before settling into a fighting stance it's in deference to ol' Bruce. Neo does it in The Matrix, too:

He was my second guess after Lee/Kelly but the fighting stance that both characters do after the dance made me not mention him.If I had to guess I would go with Muhammed Ali

The only thing I can really call Aang superior is in his creativity with bending, Korras technique is too simple
