Halo used to be slow and methodical.

What happened?

It turned into an arena shooter like Quake or UT all of the sudden.

Yea I'm OK with this. The reason I say is because....

- We already have the old gameplay on MCC. HALO5 gives you different gameplay so I'm OK with that.

- If the game really is LOL COD HALO EDITION then I'll just go back to HALO/HALO2.

Sprint is still lame. No reason not to do it off spawn 95% of the time. Will probably still ruin map design.

ADS is less elegant than the existing zoom mechanic. Having to re-ADS every time after being descoped will be less smooth than re-zooming in previous games. Gotta have the gun shift away and back to to the middle of the screen and everything.

Thrusters as a core mechanic is absolutely the right move to evolve the game in a natural manner without fucking with the base.

As someone who doesn't hate loadouts, I must say I appreciate when Halo is more simple than complex, and H5 is looking pretty complex. I can't wait to play it, but I was looking forward to a more "back to basics" mantra.

So Smart Scope is pretty much just the "default" zoom we've had forever, except we can actually shoot the weapon while using it. That's better than what I was expecting.

Don't really mind the smart scope that much, but my opinion will probably change when I play the beta. Like how they punish you for sprinting and should keep people from constant running. But thruster and ground pound need to go.

They knew it might not be popular to hear about it but also they think it adds something.

The beta is full of content and is about actually getting feedback, it sounds to me like they are confident people will like it once they get to try it.
