Didn't we all know this sales update was aimed towards November and not october. October was pre price drop, before master chief collection and Sunset Overdrive had only been out 4 days or so.
Agreed with this. If I was split between the two, the XBone is the better value. But, I'm leaning PS4 and want a deal of $299 or less, even without a game. Now if they changed the price for the GTAV/TLOU bundle to match the 329 XB, I might would jump on that.

lol probably, but I was thinking it wouldn't be unreasonable for a bare bones SKU to hit that price point. Didn't they say it was profitable for them at the current price point not to long ago?

They want to keep making money, even at the expense of losing US bragging rights for a month or two.
Now we know why Microsoft put out this info. Because they knew they got their a$$es handed to them again on NPD by PS4 for October. Not even Sunset Overdrive made the top 10 best selling for NPD on October. Every time you see Microsoft put out something days before NPD's come out, its pretty easy to see why.

The IP looks awesome and is Insomniacs return to form imo. Hope its doing well but its just not telling yet.

BF makes up a huge portion of monthly sales. All anyone is doing now is building a cushion but the monthly sales won't be decided until BF.
Anyone else find it weird that Microsoft is already releasing November data when we're not even half-way through November yet? Outselling the PS4 for two weeks? Good but it really only matters if they win the month.

After this PR Sony decided they can't win and ended the gen prematurely. Amazon will sell PS5s starting November 21th

Also, every company does this, get over your biases towards giant corporations that all see you as nothing more than $$$. I can't figure out if they just mean shipped more boxes to retail during last two weeks than PS4 did? They must be bleeding out about now.. advertising, price cuts, exclusivity deals, more advertising, NFL, astroturfing, more price cuts, free games, gift cards.. and they still can't get where they want to be.

It's crazy, two years ago I wanted Microsoft and their XBone-Division to burn in hell, but in the last few months the X-Bone looks a lot more interesting to me than what the PS4 has currently to offer.
They need to do a weekend event with baloons, hot dogs, and a petting zoo.

No, I think everyone here can believe they actually sold to consumers more Xbones than Sony did PS4s in that time due to the games and the cut. What isn't clear at all is a) by how much b) was it both weeks, or just the first was big enough to make up for a slower second week.

US americans are so naive. They told us Kinect is an integral part of the experience, then they try to sell us a console without it. I think most europeans are too clever to fall for that
im pretty sure this not an american vs european thing on smartness. I feel the only think americans get out of an xbox is many like the social shooter thing which halo/cod/live brought as opposed to say how racing games are still very popular in europe. its not about smarts its about how certain demographics prefer certain games and the xbox caters to an american demographic.
i have no idea on why would Amazon have PS4 out of stock now...
I should have bought PS4 long time ago, I have been waiting for some discount for a while now but in reality, doesnt seem like it is coming (we dont have BF deals here in EU).
