Yes from the very first open world GTA till GTA V on last gen, you could see on the roads the caching system used for traffic. It would get fixated on a shortlist of cars and trucks, of course including the one you are driving, and repeat them, until you drive a long way to a new area.

If they fix that it would be a huge increase in immersion because once you notice it you can't un-notice it.

^traffic variety is definitely significantly improved

i don't really notice better density.. i mean, even the PS3 often at least had 10-15 cars on screen downtown at intersections and rarely got over 20 cars. i haven't seen much more consistent levels of that or higher levels yet.

but the car variety is far better. not just two or three times either but maybe more than five times better. i play GTA V almost every day (for a year) and after maybe 2 hours of streams now, it's by far the most significant change for me that i've seen.

I'm more worried about pedestrian density at this point. There's evidence that traffic has received increased variety and some increase in density, but nothing thus far that I'm aware of for pedestrians.
 
Sorry, I have a quick question and excuse me please if it's been answered somewhere else, but before I pick this up I'd love to know:

I only played GTA V for a little bit when it first came out because I got sick of the cops being insanely aggressive and attuned to every/any tiny thing you would do, even when no one else was around to report you. Did they ever do anything about this or change this? Ty.
 
This streamer sounds like he's willing to try and take requests.
Also lol he modded me in chat. It seems to be cleaned up right now.

Recording. Suppose mega is the best site to upload video that is 2-10gb? I expect it'll be a quite large size if he plays for a couple of hours.

No, that probably hasn't changed. No indication of it.

I didn't like that either... They try to make it so that if you commit a crime and somebody sees it and then calls in with their cell phone, you'll get heat on you, but... I didn't find that to be the case. Felt over done and unrealistic to have cops spawning on the edge of a mountain.

Definitely tuned better than GTAIV though, where cops gave you heat for *anything* and there were cops *everywhere*
 
I wish there was a way to disable cops. It's actually the first reason as to why I'm getting the game on PC. I'm sure someone will be able to add in that option.


GTA IV had an online Free Roam where you could disable the cops, and do as you wish. Pretty disappointing that this wasn't the case with GTA V.
 
Currently watching the stream from instagib.

Liking what I see but that comment about him going to be the first online...

Hmmmm I doubt rockstar will have the servers active until Tuesday so good luck staying up for over 72 hours trying to go into the online mode just to be the first person on there. Thanks for the stream though.
