Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but hit the options button on a game tile on the XMB and the first choice in the menu should be "Check For Update."

The game already has to be downloaded on your system to be able to check for updates. Since you said you're getting the physical copy you won't be able to. The update will show up for you once you actually start installing the game and the system knows you have it.

Haha I always burn my bodies and cars after if I have a chance in free roam. Just a bit of sim/roleplay or whatever. Same reason I reset the game if I die though lol.

It's pretty funny to me if you're disturbed by those pictures but committed acts like that in prior games. It's the same end result: dead ass NPC. The point about it being first-person makes it more disturbing doesn't make any sense to me either since I've seen stuff on Liveleak that disturbed the hell out of me that wasn't POV, it was the fact that it was real and not pixels. It's not like this is Manhunt guys, you don't have to kill those people so go be Jack Thompson somewhere else.

So how does preloading work? Will it just download that first chunk or is it going to download the full game? Takes me around an hour for the chunk and around 5 for must games, it'd just be nice not having to wait on release day to play it

Last I heard it is better than last gen version, although it still has moments where it dips under 30fps. There is also a day one patch, maybe it will improve it who knows.
On PS4? Go to the game and press options button, go to information (I think), should say how many GB's from the full game are downloaded so far.

Yeah, I'm honestly more amused by how much streamers are popping up and Rockstar trying to keep up.
Hell, I just turned on my PS4 and noticed a few GTA V streams. Decided not to watch them cause my curiousity has been sated enough and I want there to be some surprise/magic when I start playing.
Yep... I'm a total psychopath (if you are an NPC anyways) in GTA V. I mean for some reason I'm just amused at doing stuff I'd never do in real life.
And yet, if you have me play Elder Scrolls or Fallout or some other RPG, I can't get myself to even be mean to the NPCs. I'm always trying to find the most peaceful solution or make sure the group is evil before I go against them (I ended up finding a peaceful resolutoin for the "vampires" in fallout 3 and the town). Give me any sort of hint that the people are not just evil bad guys and I"ll want to see if there's some way to make everyone happy.
But not GTA.... GTA? You die cause I'm bored. You die cause you honked at me! You hit my car, you die too! You die just cause I wanted to make my BF cringe. Oh, I need a few dollars, you die too! You die cause you're a paramedic and it's funny to have you come over to help this person just to shoot you (and I seriously IRL would think anyone who would harm doctors or medical workers in general are total scum).
Never used prostitutes after Vice City. Once they included easily accessible food from San Andreas onwards, there was no real point. Just completely out of your way and harder to spot in the newer games.
But I did totally run them over in GTA 3 and VC. That's not being malicious. That's being smart with your money.

Oh, I've done that too in GTA. Doesn't last long cause I"m not a patient driver in real life so asking me to stay patient in a game where I really wouldn't get in trouble is asking a lot (come on change to green already.. f**it, I'm just running it, it's not like I'll actually get ticketed). But sometimes I do it just cause (This is what I love about GTA though, the total play it however you want. It's a very good game when you are bored and just want to f*x around).
But yeah, I've tried role playing bad guys in Skyrim (haven't yet in Fallout) and I can't do it... I just feel too bad and I want to be the good guy. Only way I can rampage against towns is if I don't save and go back and reload a save before I killed them all (that only happens when I'm really really bored and part of me feels bad about it).
Hrm, as an aside, I wonder if it would add or subtract from the game if cops actually did go after you if they saw you run a red or speed?

I'm the exact same way. I'm generally a peaceful guy in most games...but GTA brings out the worst in me. I will go out of my way to hit a guy riding a motorcycle/bicycle/scooter if I see them. During high speed chases I'll generally drive on the sidewalk so I can hit pedestrians. I'll run down animals etc...
I get a good laugh...but in real life I'm a good natured person. If someone tells me to kill a bee in an enclosed space I'll normally lecture them on how bees are dying, catch the bee, and let it go. Same with spiders...as long as my girlfriend doesn't spot a spider living in our apartment I'll usually let it be. Basically, I wouldn't harm a fly, let alone a person...but an NPC in a video game? They're usually fucked.

I would think R* wouldn't have a case to take down a stream if the streamer never went in 1st person mode. How can you know if it is PS4 footage.
Also I still don't understand how R* has permission to request streams be taken down when customers legally purchased their game. How is any of this player friendly? What the absolute fuck, can this be a movement? If I get your game early because I purchased it from a retailer and their shipping messes up you should not be able to censor my videos?
Embargos are only for those who agree and sign (getting earlier copies to review). If I receive an early copy legally I should not be tied to any embargo restrictions. I did not agree with your contract and I would think it is grounds for a lawsuit for those who make money off of streaming games with the logic that they are receive less views and less revenue.

Why would Rockstar stop these streams? We already know the entire story and all the possible endings... It's not like when the game first launched LAST year.

You can tell by all the extra foliage and the mini map doesn't have a border.
I guess people should disable the HUD to make it harder to spot.
