Time to call the Warvatar

No. Season 2 must be acknowledged for its extreme, character destroying lows.

As I said before when I returned, I've made my peace with season 2. To make an omelet you've gotta break a few eggs, and season 2 is the breaking of the eggs.

I merely tolerate it these days, rather than actively hate it. I still think it's shite, however, but it gave us season 3 so I'm not all that mad any longer.

The giant monster fight would've been fine if it had any actual explanation beyond "we like fights theyre cool".
I'm thinking Season 2 could've been decent if we had explanations for anything + cut out that love triangle crap since it didn't affect the plot at all except more shitting on Asami.

Anyone down for a bet?

Toph's gonna kick Kuvira and her army out of the swamp.

Think otherwise? Put that avatar on that line and let's go :)

You know what? Screw you guys (<3) throw my ass in the bet that Kuvira will be victorious in whatever happens in the next episode.

You'll see.

The book 2 finale was something to behold.

Truly all of book 2 was just...something to behold.

It's like the writers took a vacation during the development of that book.

A writer friend of mine described it best: felt like a first draft.

First drafts are always horrible, but you can (and should) change a lot and tighten it up in the second and third drafts. So it's kinda like the skeleton, really. Book Two has a perfectly fine foundation, but it's just so... bleh in its execution, like almost every first draft is. So many things they could've altered and fixed, and it would've been a fine season. But whatever.

Korragaf should just realize the fact that season 3 will most likely be the only season that is easily rewatchable from start to finish with little problems

Let go of you earthly tethers and just enter the void yall

Everybody shitting on Season 2, but guys, at least we had Avatar Wan's story (I thought it was cool) and uncle Iroh returning as a spirit somehow

Right?

If Korra got captured by the red lotus

That's pretty cool.

Yeah despite the mess Book 2 is there's still a lot of good stuff in it. Mainly the Beginnings episodes and that wonderful score. Plus it gave us one the best characters in the show with Varrick.
Also the second half of Book 2 is much much better than the first half of it.

Despite some pacing issues the episodes in season 4 have all been great, save for Battle of Zaofu. We'll see how it ends. I actually liked 95% of season one too, so there's that.

Iroh returning was way too forced. Would've been okay but it seems we've had pandering to fans in every season at this point. Iroh Jr in book one, Iroh in season two, Zuko in season 3, and now Toph. I mean, you could've written all the seasons without those characters. Having a nod or reference to original series is nice and all but eh.

If they ever went with an evil-bender story, it'd be interesting to see a Sylar-style one who used energy bending to actually steal power and skills from other benders.

Nah I rewatched 1 and 2 before 3 hit and 1 was pretty alright. It had its problems but it was still a breeze to sit through. 2 was torture though

Never again

If I rewatch this in the future I'll skip 2
