You know, it might come off as Jigga-esque pandering, but I'd like Eminem to make a full album about how good his life is now. Songs about how he's on amicable terms with his ex-wife, about how is daughter is the most popular girl in school and can't wait for college, how his most stressful days involve smoking weed for 3 hours then writing rhymes, an Album that shows the world that he made it.
But he won't do that.
It's kind of sad though, because if this was anyone else other than eminem, no one would care, and I can't figure out if that's a societal problem, a music industry problem, a race problem or a hip hop problem.

Eminem is in this place where he realizes fans want him to be the "shock-jock" 90s rapper, but his life is different now. He has kids and shit. People criticized him for being soft and putting out a sober rap album with pop hooks and features on every song.
People want the old Eminem back, but his schtick only really works as a young punk shocking American youth. Everyone wants to buy his LPs in hope that he will turn back into a hungry 26 year old, drug fiend rapping over classic Dre beats. It's not going to happen again. It won't work again.
Of course not, the big rappers lyrics are hot air. Thing is, it's still damn offensive.

More than that, South Park isn't really that offensive anymore. This entire season has centered around inclusion and celebration of diversity...in it's own weird way.

Not really. Snoop had to apologize for bullying Iggy on twitter and Rick Ross had to apologize for the lyrics about using roofies on a woman in his lyrics. We will see whether Eminem apologizes but I doubt it.

Haven't heard the song yet, but based off that verse in the OP, it's bad. Kim is at the very least good.
To be fair, Snoop is an idiot and did that mess on twitter. And for the one instance of people getting kind of pissy with Rick Ross, there were 1000 other songs about poppin' mollys for sex times over the past year. No one cares. It's a lame, boring rhyme that gets over used because "WHAT'S THE HIP DRUG NOW? MOL- IS IT MOLLY? IT'S MOLLY RIGHT? Okay, work molly into your songs everyone, we have an image to uphold."
It's such garbage. The rap game sucks so much right now. We live in a world where Jay-Z will rhyme cake with cake, then make the chanting of cake a hook, but POS has to struggle to get a spot on indie record labels

Like, it's really sad that in a world where Killer Mike has escaped his tiedowns from 3-6 Mafia and is putting out some of the best rhymes of his career and the year, Eminem is still taking pot shots at B-list celebrities.
Like, wouldn't it be cool if Eminem used his ability to be super technical with his rhymes to make something that was actually really interesting instead of chasing the SS LP?

When he was a nobody and could claim he was doing it for attention, I understood the motivation. Not now though. He could do a whole album about filing his nails at this point and it would sell a few million. This is just where his mind goes for whatever reason. I'm inclined to assume he's not a well adjusted person and likely never will be.
