I find that one bad player can chew up the online experience for the group, but it's smooth if you play with a group of people with solid connections...

good thing i ordered that lan adapter back then. no joke it fixed the blops2 issues i kept having.

can't wait till it arrives in the mail tomorrow

Yea it's a slight difference but again it varies depending on who you're playing. It's not going to be perfect but when you come from the joke that was Brawl's online, this is like a huge step in the right direction. I'd say with a LAN adapter it'd be even better. The first person I played online had noticeable input lag but I tried again wtih someone else and it felt much better. Lag isn't going to be the same when playing different people on different setups.

Yeah I just went from playing classic a bunch and then played about 10 online matches. It was noticable enough that it took me 5 matches to get used to it.

I think I'll stay away from the online stuff.

LAN adapter? I really need one since I don't think the game will run fine in my room with WiFi. Where do I buy it?

You must've experienced some horrible lag if it's bad enough to where you're going to avoid playing online. Trust me I'm very sensitive to input lag and so far I haven't felt like I had such lag that prevented me from playing.

That was a great exhibitionist tourney, man smash 4 is so solid and is totally viable for competitive play.

So...anyone want to play? I warn you, I'm going to want to try out all the different stages, minus non-omega stages with bosses on them. So, anyone want some 1v1, 3 Stock, Low Item Smashing?

It'd be nice if there was a connection icon showing each players connection quality online. Also voice chat in game with friends at least, come on nintendo.

Since I have got to wait a week I got around to ordering smash from Tesco.

The game is applicable with club card boost, so I used some of my club card vouchers and also a £5 off direct order e-coupon. Which resulted in total price of £13 :D.

It's not like the characters are stuttering around the screen (brawl) but there's definitely input lag of probably half a second. I need to time my moves a lot differently. I have the lan adapter from the wii days at my parent's house. Maybe next time I visit I'll grab it and see if it helps.

It's unfortunate because it's an otherwise fantastic game for me.

I'm down. I'm not the greatest, and I wasn't able to get a GameCube adapter so go easy on me.

Hearing all these good online comments... Was unplayable for me basically. But maybe I need to restart my router. I never had many issues on 3DS on the other hand. Probably all on my end.

Anyone wanna play a few with me? No items, yet let's go and explore all the stages :D

You're free to jump in my room if you want. I'm fine doing some 3 FFA (or 4 if someone else wants to join). Are we friends? If not, my NNID is the same as my GAF name.

God six player smash was fun enough...tomorrow I'm having a party and 8 players...

Fuck man. Even though it's complete chaos, it's one of the best additions they ever could've made.

Does anyone know if this version has the patch the 3DS just got?

definitely your connection to other players, maybe not your fault, my first online fight was super laggy but the second was very smooth
