Drove to 7 different stores looking for the GC adapter and they were all "sold out." I live in a populated area, too. Only reason I didn't preorder the bundle was because I already had 4 GC controllers. Huge bummer because I'm inviting friends over to play tonight and we're stuck with Wii remotes now.
Pretty weird how I saw PLENTY of copies of the game, Amiibos, and the Gamecube controllers, but literally no adapters. Did Nintendo think not many people used the GC controller or something?

and yes to the Menu should have been thought out more. but it's still so good looking for a basic UI.
But man! One does not have enough Gamecube Controllers. Really, I have like 8 or 9 controllers.
This is what worries me, will these be restocked?

So nice to have a real camera mode back, not sure what was up with the abomination in the 3DS version.
8 player smash is absurd and I have no idea what is happening. Had a few framerate drops in the crazy huge stage whose name I can't remember. Need to turn on only hammers for some real craziness.

if you're talking about setting it up on tilts, yes, I saw it. Better than nothing, but I was used to use C stick for smashes on reaction and it also gets harder to do pivot f smashing now

How do you set if edges are grabbable or not in Custom stages? It says to tap an icon on the right but there's nothing there.
Edit: Nevermind. I just gotta make the edges super edgy for the icon to show up. Too bad I'm a terrible artist.

You can see a small x on the ledges aplicable. It is not in all surfaces. The x is one color when is grabbable and other color when is not...
I've made the awful mistake of only ordering a Wii U this week, so it could take a couple of weeks to get here.
In the meanwhile I'll be stricken with an irrational panic because everyone's getting ahead of me, even though most people are probably already better than me and I won't have time to get good anyway.
Additionally, I'd also like any opinions on using the LAN adapter. From PC gaming you can see that the wired/wireless difference really matters, and since I live quite far from any other players I already have significant latency.
In the meanwhile I'll be stricken with an irrational panic because everyone's getting ahead of me, even though most people are probably already better than me and I won't have time to get good anyway.

Ok, this is not related to Smash but I'm playing a bit of Mario 3D World and holy shit it's like a 2D Mario game in 3D. They have a run button any everything! This is awesome.
After all these dreary "mature" next gen games, 3D World is to beautiful, tons of colour, relaxing music. Love it.

Turn on grid mode (i believe it's X on the gamepad). Forces you to draw straight lines.
Probably sweetspot bair or first hit up B now, since I've heard up air and bouncing fish got significantly weakened in kill potential. Those last two are certainly the easier ones to land though, and maybe with VI reworked they end up as the best options.

It's weird because I'm using the gray surface and made a stage that has two squares on opposite sides. Both look the same but it only lets me apply an edge to the one on the right. Smh should've just made it so we have to tap on an edge to make it grabbable or not.
