Good games man. Yeah you definitely need practice. Yoshi is a pain to deal with with his lagless aerials and egg throws. Like holy cow is he godly in this game.

Haha yeah, he has good moves. I just need to stop running and attacking all the time. It's like a reflex from too much DKCTF.

So is the ethernet adapter a must for this, or are you guys doing wi-fi? I'm currently using wi-fi and have had some decent matches, while others were just complete slideshow-levels lag.
I'm on Wifi and have had one match that was sort of laggy. Everything else has been silky smooth.

I was nice in Melee but Brawl I only played alone or with more casual folks.

I don't get it. It's like folks know my moves before I can do anything and I end up frustrated. I don't know how to read people.

Yep, I'm right there with you. It's enormously frustrating. Nearly everything I do against a lot of people is effortlessly dodged, parried, or countered. I'm hoping that having a GCN controller now will make a difference, but somehow I doubt it.

If you dont want to feel like you're incredibly weak at Smash, just play 4p matches and fun with the game. Smash isnt just all 1 v 1 no items, so if you arent enjoying that, dont force yourself.

Oh yeah, definitely this. I can't stress this enough. I fell into a bad pattern of only playing For Glory online in the 3DS version for some reason, and it wasn't until I decided to play For Fun on a whim not too long ago that I realized (a) how much fun I wasn't having in For Glory, win or lose and (b) how dull and utterly soul-sucking the For Glory ruleset is. Smash can be and is so much more than that if you want it to be. Been playing only For Fun ever since on both versions and haven't looked back, and I'm much happier for it!

I had a match that was pretty laggy on wifi, but my housemates are watching Dexter at the same time

Everything last night, including 4 players, was butter

Eh it was a sweep. I used to be better than this and now I'm straight garbage.

I'm having the same exact problem, if it helps at all. I was good at 64 and Melee and awesome at Brawl, but I'm just garbage at 3DS and Wii U. Somehow I'm utterly predictable and have the hardest time successfully landing attacks on people while they have absolutely no problem hitting me with pretty much anything they want, and and I just get steamrolled most of the time. It's incredibly frustrating, but I still love the game, so...

I was much better in Brawl too. It's harder to pull off combos because everyone feels heavier.

Man I'm on the fence about buying this game. I got cod aw, gta 5, and don't know if I have time for this now lol. I loved Mario kart but hated I couldn't talk to people online. You guys think I should give this a go or wait?

Exactly. I mean, sure i'll go all in on 1 v 1 no items when I feel like I want to try and improve my game abit, but if I just want to enjoy smash, its all about 4p with items.

Eight player Rosalina only Masterballs on High Smash was exactly as fun as we thought it would be, which is to say an absolute blast for two games and then an understanding that we shouldn't play it any more then that

I'm getting frame drops 1v1ing my amiibo on omega stages. That's... not good.

Also, why the fuck doesn't male WFT have his own logo? IT'S IN THE GAME.

This game is so good. Just finished playing some For Glory for the first time and marveled at how smooth the online was. Played some really competitive rounds with a Ganondorf player too. The rounds go so short that it's hard to not just, "Just one more round," especially after losing a close one.

Of the new characters, I like Greninja the most. He's super fast and has some nice killing moves. I'm still working out how to use his recovery properly. I think I desperately need to get the Gamecube adapter, as I'm having trouble short-hopping with the current setups. May try to hit up Best Buy tomorrow to see if they have any left.

Just added myself to the spreadsheet, so hit me up if you want some Diddy Kong or Yoshi action!

I don't want too many music spoilers but could someone tell me if any Super Mario RPG music can be unlocked??

I just spent about 15 minutes in the music section of the game, it is such a great selection.

Just got back from my college's Smash Club. Smash Wii U is really fun and glad we didn't really need rotation because of 8 player smash. Gimmick matches were pretty fun.
Also discovered Boss 1 (Sakura Samurai:Art of the Sword) plays on Luigi's Mansion
Do anyone have a full list of challenges in Wii U?

I am starting to work on that now that the majority of events are done. A bit tough without a copy but from looking around, I should be able to get it at least started

Does Master Core always appear at difficulties >5.0? I hate how you can't choose to find it, like you can on 3DS.

Yeah, it's annoying as hell. Thankfully, I manage to memorize all of his patterns when I was going for 9.0 on the 3DS, so he's somewhat easy for me now.

I've already gotten the play for 10 hours challenge O.O

Anyone else having freezing issues during certain events? It seems like during the ones that don't have items if Wario uses his bike the game freezes for a couple of seconds.
