god... stage builder is so close to being amazing it hurts

add a move mode that can move both entire platforms and single vertices, add and subtract vertices, undo that undoes the last segment drawn and not the whole thing, and add all the removed elements from brawl and you're golden

oh and also, of course, the ability to paint on the platforms you draw and add background elements, but the stage builder seems to be concerned with function and not form, so i wouldn't get my hopes up

1. Clear Classic at intensity 9.0 without losing a single life

According to my Strategy Guide, you can CHEAT around this one.

If you have the no Respawn Invincibility Badge, apparently the game doesn't count as you losing a life (although you still lose a stock, it just doesn't see you as losing a life). So says the player's guide, haven't tested it myself.

It's been a while since I have Smashed, and I simply suck at this game. Anyone have pointers? I am trying to decide who to main with. Right now, I am thinking either Zero Suit Samus, Samus, Sheik, or Dark Pit.

Ok, so my friend and I just completed the co-op event "Peach in Peril" on hard.

Fuck. That. Event! So hard I had to post the completion screen on miiverse. This game is ridiculous.

Played a few hours last night, couldn't get enough of it. I like the roster so far, the gameplay is really fluid, and this game is just stuffed full of content. The only drawback is that I hate using the Gamepad and the Pro Controller still isn't 100% to my liking (Me being used to 360 layout of buttons + buttons being below right analog stick = me hitting the wrong buttons at times).

Oh, it wasn't anything significant. I'm not that well versed with the game yet to really give useful advice, anyways.
From the bit I played with you, my advice is patience. That's it. Dodge, learn his moves, its usually the same cycle every time. Eventually I noticed you had no choice but to go in, hand to hand and trying to grab. Make him desperate, knowing that his rolls are not having effect and take advantage of when he comes to you. Have lots and lots of patience, don't give up

Projectiles and characters with range also help stop him in his tracks/rolls

It has probably been answered already, but does using a wired adapter makes a big difference lag wise?

:lol My friend and I were frustrated with that event. It was pretty hard but amazing fun trying to save Peach and get rid of all other characters.

Once we managed to clear it. it was pretty satisfying.

Dedede players, how the hell do you guys use Gordos?

Of course I know you shouldn't use it as a projectile willy-nilly in fear of it getting smacked back right at you but in what situations should I properly use it?

I tend to use it as defense, you can do side b and press up and it doesn't go forward it stays in place. It helps to go in, grab, forward tilt. I'm no ddd expert tho

I'm a noob, and I'm focusing on playing mega man and dedede... I was just wondering, is there any way to hold onto mega man's blade before throwing it? I thought I saw it in a video.

I don't main Dedede but I use him quite a lot. Gourdos are more of a defensive projectile that stops opponents from approaching due to its varying launch speed and bounce. Reflecting it is pretty hard with a few exception from other characters (Mega Man can easily send it back using Metal Blade for example). Use it as a blocking item when opponents are edge guarding or trying to chase you on air, Or use it at a distance to pressure foes.

Oh has this been confirmed? Do we have any idea when? Like maybe before next Saturday when I was planning on using it would be nice haha!
Was confirmed in the 50-fact extravaganza (both online and offline): http://youtu.be/j0BBGzfw0pQ?t=27m4s

As for when it will release, they haven't said. My guess is when the JP release happens (Dec 6th), or some time after that.

Throw it into the ground and then pick it up like an item.

Just in case you're not aware of how to throw it into the ground, you can control the direction of the metal blade (8 directions) by inputting the direction with the left stick right after you press the B button (or whatever button your special move button is). So to throw it into the ground, you would press B and then immediately press down on the stick.
Does the 3DS version's home button roulette trick still work on Wii U? I don't see why it wouldn't, just asking.
Nope, too much of a delay after going back into the game. The roulette moves slower in the Wii U version, so it is easier to time the button press.
So where is "Rival Smash"????
Also any tips to unlock custom moves? which mode is better for this? I found trophy rush to be helpful (I got 4 custom moves in one play session)
Games & More > Solo > Stadium > Multi-Man Smash > Rival Smash

Just play through various single-player modes to get custom moves. Smash Tour and Classic Mode gives the most amount of customs, so you get a better chance with those modes.

Anyone know a good general strategy against a marth or lucina that charge with fairs? The one I just played against charged with fairs and then when he went past me he quickly turned and grabbed me.

Also how do people quickly turned around and just grab.

Hey guys, been playing Solo for a while and I've yet to get doubles of custom moves for characters, is it easier to get customs now or am I just lucky at the moment?

Ahhh, thanks guys. This definitely makes more sense.

Play Master Orders or Crazy Orders. There are a lot that unlock when you beat events too.
