Yep. Had a Game Night at my job and we played some really fun games of 4/8 player mode.

There was this one guy though (there's always that one guy) that I noticed was better than the others. I quickly noticed that he was familiar with competitive Smash and I challenged him to 1v1 for fun. He chose 3 stock, Final Destination, No Items, etc. We chose different characters almost each time and I got slaughtered. Almost every match I was 2 stocked. Never 3 stocked, but 2 mostly. I still had fun, but the guy must have pitied me sweating up a storm and mashing that Gamecube controller. Out of 10 or so matches, I won 1.

Smash is always that game that you feel you're pretty good at until until.

Anyways, I did still have fun playing with him and went on to win the rest of the 8-person Smash matches that concluded the night.

So, after seeing how little people were rolling in that sky tournament yesterday, I spent the last two nights doing nothing but forcing myself not to roll spam like I usually do while trying to specifically punish every roll i can.

It was hard to get used to, but eventually it finally clicked and now i'm tearing through everyone i meet online. Just like that, I'm able to punish so much more stuff than I used to by simply using my shield instead of my roll, and I'm starting to see myself pick up real spacing, now that i'm not limited to the set distances of a roll and using my normal movement to dodge things instead.

Feels great to get improvement like that. I highly recommend it to anyone that uses rolls as a crutch and want to get better at this game.
 
Anyone wanna play me? I just moved and I dunno what's up with the internet connection here. So far I've had slightly laggy matches in for glory, so it'd be cool if someone wanted to play me that knows their connection's good so I could test it.

It feels the best when you face a Mario (why always Mario?) that tries to roll into you offensively. I need to get out of the habit of using rolls as part of my footsies game. Shamrock is the only person to punish them consistently, but that is all I need to know it is a bad habit.

There are more Other M songs in this game than there are Skyward Sword songs.

Yeah, I know some of you are rolling your eyes at me for pointing that out, but I have to admit even I'm a little confounded at that. I mean, I can at least remember songs from the latter.

There is also at least 5 remixes of the same DK song. Some music picks are confusing.
 
It's because everyone tells Sakurai what fighters they want in the games vs everything else. Should have focused all that get Ridley in as a fighter energy into getting some Wario tunes in that game.
 
Haha, so Starwolf's theme and Roy's Hope are on the list of CD unlockables. It wouldn't surprise me if Ridley's theme, Majora's theme and a Golden Sun track again are on there too.

Masterful trolling.
