Honestly, I think you'd be best served going exclusively Greninja. That character is legit fun and one of the few in the cast I've played where everything just feels right/you aren't running into an artificial wall every time you do something. It also helps that his "gimmicks" aren't all hit or miss. Dude can put you in the blender forever and actually hits hard when necessary (sorry Sheik).

Greninja gimmicks go up online. I saw you do that mash counter twice into forward B when I tried to punish the first counter lol

Offline though, Greninja still represents my dislike on how Smash 4 neutral is though.

Did a quick mini-tour of the southwest and attended two tournaments in the past two weekends. Super tired this morning, but at least I only have three days of work this week. The tournaments were FADC2 in Colorado and Undefeated of the Southwest in Arizona. FADC2 was able to get over 1200 cans and about $450 worth of turkeys to donate, great turnout, and the raffle prizes were godlike. Undefeated of the Southwest was such a great experience as a Marvel player. Nothing but props to the AZ community.

But right now I just wanna play WoW/Smash and get tons of sleep. D:

Somehow can't say I'm surprised, but what do they say about it?

Some of them just find it boring, especially with the character buffs/nerfs applied.

That and it doesn't help that the game is basically the Slash of BlazBlue.

Top 3 is looking like Ragna, Jin, and Nu currently.

So would you say that everyone that was concerned with the loketest's changes was validated then

Not really. Loketest change, people were scared of OD in blockstun and Celica's huge damage output.

Now instead, Celica's considered bottom tier while no one really uses OD in blockstun.

Edit: I guess scared isn't the right word, but no one knew what to make of the OD change

Well I meant character changes more specifically, altho I admit OD from blockstun had me worried so it's amusing to hear that that didn't really matter in the end.

I mostly concentrated on my character for what carried over from the loketest to the final build. Rachel stuff did indeed stick. Her combos are limited now and she can't even 3C oki anymore. She was made easier for new players while gimping her tools in return.

As for the other characters, I'm not too sure if it's because changes either didn't stick or they weren't as bad as people thought they'd be (after figuring out their optimal routes). I remember people thinking Valk to be really bad and such but he turned out fine.

Saying the players dislike the game is jumping to some conclusions. Whenever there's a shake up this happens. Takes a bit longer to find out where it'll go.

Why has nobody mentioned the fact somebody entered a Fox Amibo into a tournament and it went all the way through losers bracket?

This is my sentiment as well.
From the videos I've seen, the feel and pace of the game still looks like BBCP1.1 and the balance doesn't sound too bad compared to the first month when everyone was crying about the return of CT Nu. Also, GCOD didn't become the second coming of X-Factor.

I really hope that the NA Xrd demo has the English voice acting. Really curious to see how it's turned out.

Actually, the demo only has the English dubs included.

Don't panic, the Japanese voices will be in the retail version of the game.

...Got shot down on the barnyard friends track, though. Those glorious pig noises for Sol... (T_T)

17th out a tournament with 72 people is not "all the way through losers bracket"

edit: and yes FSLink is correct, it was a Pikachu amiibo not Fox (no 20XX for you today)

Wasn't it a Pikachu amiibo?

So you'd rather him have a gimped neutral game in exchange for a few fun gimmicks?

Well, I just said I found Smash 4 Marth fun thanks to the customs, if it were me I'd just have Melee Marth back in. :P

Plus I'm just extremely biased since I used Lucas in Brawl. The grab infinite still hurts man. :(

He uses Diddy, pretty sure he doesn't have good taste in characters :P

:(

I can understand this but given how amazingly impractical they've made accessing customs in the Wii U version before matches and the strong resulting possibility that they'll be overlooked for any competitive consideration (on top of some of the conditions for getting all the customs via challenge wall), I think I've all but given up on the custom dream. Sucks too, Zero Suit Samus with her Rider Kick custom is just about the funniest fucking thing ever. On top of it hitting harder that Eminem's verse on Renegade, it also doubles as the most bustedest recovery ever. :lol

That said, Brawl Marth killed off of anything (shoutouts to tipper nair killing at like 65ish on some stages) and actually had real combos in that game (he was made of magic in that game I swear lol). I can definitely see where Marz comes from.

It'd be a damn shame if customs weren't allowed eventually, some characters are crazy fun/different with them on. DK and Ike are beasts with them on, Pikachu gets a more reliable kill move, etc.

I asked on the blog, but will the game have complete dual audio that encompasses all modes and not just for battles like P4AU?

Isn't there a custom thing that cancels lag on aerials?

I wish that was tournament standard. It would make Marth fun to play again ; _ ;

Equipment is random to obtain and has random stat boosts so it's not likely it'll ever be tourney standard. :/

No way equipment will ever be legal, I only have 1 smooth lander equipment out of 1000+ pieces of equipment, and It can only be used on people who have a sword or something dumb like that.

Enzo, I completely screwed the spotlight up this week, for that, and to the rest of you, I apologize.

I can complete it for next week (long weekend), or, it can go to the next person in the rotation (as my pennance).

Sorry about that =\
It's all good, the sooner the better though :P I might put the new thread up on Sunday evening.

Damn that's pretty impressive. Good shit.

OP's post forgot to mention the KOF UM's coming to Steam very soon.
"Rise of Incarnates Q4" is looking sketchy, no?

Though really based on beta comments it seems to need a lot more time in the oven anyway.
When is KOF UM dated for Steam? And in general, any other release dates to be updated in OP?

Amiibos actually start gaining cruel melee stats in terms of how much damage they do. Kirby's unupgraded level 50 hammer did around 40% to me :[

If you could win an universal one from the challenge wall (and then another equipment that cancels out its stat bonuses) it might've been an entirely different situation. Shame it's not that way...

Well it WAS dated as 98UM for November and 02UM for December, but there's been no word on either and the website changed the release date to a more vague "Winter 2014"
