But doing it the ENTIRE MATCH?
Yep. I get that you're salty about it (I truly understand, not being condescending), but you're wrong about the tournament bit.
But doing it the ENTIRE MATCH?
You took all three of my joke posts seriously. Are you going to give any other reponse than this snarky "deal with it nerd its a legitimate tactic"?
I'm that guy. Well, not literally that guy, but I'm that guy. If there's someone who's beating me badly and consistently, I just wanna play some more to figure out what I'm doing wrong and hopefully pick up what my opponent is doing right. I love blowing up scrubs from time to time, but getting bodied by a better player who's patient enough to deal with me is usually my favourite kind of game in a bizarre sort of way. :lolSome people on For Glory just don't give up. Went 12-0 with this one guy, but I admired the persistence.
And who doesn't like padding their stats?

Patience is the charitable way to look at it, but they might just be opportunistic pussies trying to bump up a win-loss ratio no one ever sees anywaysI'm that guy. Guys, someone play me! I made a room! My NNID is in my profile!
Just when I thought I had heard enough to make me think Melee tournament players are nuts, I read this.Uhh... actually no, timeouts are completely allowed in tournaments. Except the TOs implement a rule such that if you have the % lead, you win -- you don't play out the sudden death. It's a skill, whether you believe it to be or not. Honor code does not matter when money is on the line. When you play to win, you do what the game allows you to reach that goal and if that means a timeout it's legitimate.

Adapt.
Well you guys seem like a welcoming bunch. Regardless, I can agree with the percent rule if that was a thing in For Glory. Yet it's not, and it's total bullshit because of that.
Through the opaque medium of online play, I couldn't care less about the real reason they might still be playing with me. The important bit is that they still care about playing with me in spite of the obvious skill gap, and they aren't totally disrespecting my efforts. Even if they just want to pad out stats, it's essentially symbiosis. And I feel a lot better beating them and feeling like I've noticeably improved in some way than just trashing another Villager or Little Mac who doesn't know how to use any other move than Side B and Down B. I'd rather lose a hundred times to a better player than win a thousand times against a bad one. The former will improve me one day. The latter is just stagnation.Patience is the charitable way to look at it, but they might just be opportunistic pussies trying to bump up a win-loss ratio no one ever sees anyways![]()
Let's see if it doesn't lags.

RememberAdapting to RNG bobombs is not really a possibility.
Fuuuuuuuuuck, All Star Hard Duck Hunt is tough.

Mine is my username, I'll add you nowI find classic and all-stat to be quite a bit harder than 3DS for some reason. They must be tuned to be a bit harder.
Yeah, i'll try. I havent played online on Wii U yet, so forgive me if my connection isn't great.

Yeah, Sudden Death is bullshit and it bothers me they didn't put a % ruling like there is a health ruling in Street Fighter where the person with the most health wins in a timeout. It's yet another design decision from Sakurai's "I consider it a party game!" philosophy and it's been this way since the first game. At the very least, it should only apply in For Glory but... yeah they didn't do it. :/
The way Sudden Death is is the reason why TOs made a rule for it in the first place. Everyone knows Sudden Death is bullshit and luck-based. People who rely on that to win are certainly scumbags but the tactic of timing out is, in all fairness, legitimate. Smash's "tiebreaker" implementation is just awful, though.
Alright, room created
edit: Crap, forgot to turn off items
No worries. Did I disconnect or did you leave? :O

Yeah I'm not knocking him at all, I thought it was cool. I was so surprised every time the lobby had him ready for the next one.How else are we supposed to learn?
That might've been me.![]()
I dunno. I'm still there. I'm in the match waiting screen with the beanbag! I'm stuck and can't get out!
The online is unacceptable so far. Really...cmon its 2014 Nintendo.
Good attitude, with that mindset you will improve as long as you kind find good enough opponents... you're only as good as the people you fight :3I'd rather lose a hundred times to a better player than win a thousand times against a bad one. Holy shit! Has this always been there?!
Zero Suit Samus is the ultimate high-flying rush-down characterIf I prefer rush-down characters overall in fighting games, which member(s) of the Smash 4 roster should I be focusing on giting gud with? Ive had some success with Mii Brawler, but cant always use her online. Little Mac seems like the obvious choice but I cant deal with his lack of air game.
