Well, that's what I am hoping for. There is definitely a sense in that teaser of the Rebellion kicking ass.
If that scene ends up with Luke demonstrating his master status... just awesome.
Hope there aren't any death stars in need of destroying this time around

I think it's more repressed memories of The Phantom Menace. That was the highlight of the Phantom Menace trailer. It was so cool.
Then the movie betrayed us all...
Peoples minds were so blown by the fact that this looks straight up excellent that they automatically had to fixate on something.

I have watched this trailer 10 times so far today.
I can't get over just how fucking good it is. FAR FAR better than I anticipated. It really has that original trilogy Star Wars feel to it. The atmosphere looks perfect. If the final film is as good as this trailer JJ Abrams better not walk away from these films......

Went on an internet blackout all day so I could see it in the theatre.
Saw it once with Birdman (AMAZING film), then as we were on our way out we noticed Foxcatcher was starting, so we popped in there and watched it again.
Still feels like a dream. I've watched it again on YouTube and I still can't believe it.

exactly my feel. like the delay would make a little bit of sense if energy was traveling up through the hilt and ignited that part first, then the blade. instead it's the other way around. it telegraphs what it wants the audience to think.
I need not remind you that JJ stands for Jar Jar.

The lightsaber reveal was badass and didn't immediately give away anything other than a new version of a lightsaber. I'm not old enough to remember, but I'm sure people were upset with Darth Maul's dual lightsabers and I thought his scenes were some of the most interesting in The Phantom Menace.

Sick shot. Seriously this whole trailer is filmed with some gorgeous cinematography in my opinion. The Millennium Falcon scene, the X-Wings soaring barely above the water, this ominous ass shot of the new Sith..........goosebumps.

Add me to the love the way the Sith walks club too. It looks like a man who is furious at something, as if he had been walking for a long time and finally reached his destination and wants to destroy it.
Exactly what I was thinking when I first saw it. Screw practicality, it's a freaking lightsaber claymore, and that's pretty amazing sounding to me.

Yeah the way the side bits come out of the lightsaber a whole one second later looks completely ridiculous. I've already cancelled my pre-order since this looks like a movie for idiots who don't know how real lightsabers work.

Hate the VO, the lightsabre, the droid design, and the Falcon shot. Liked what I saw of the direction they are taking the rest of the action shots.
Still not hyped.
