Any tips for newcomers? I recently picked up the game with my Wii U yesterday. First Nintendo console that I have truly owned (even though I have played plenty before). I've got relatively little experience with past smash bros but enjoyed what I played very much.

So is there anything that I should do first or should I just jump in and start having fun?

Have fun, get a feel for the characters and when you feel more familiar with the game start learning their move sets. The game is simple enough to jump in and have fun but it has a lot of depth to it if you want to take it a little bit more seriously. Maybe focus on a couple of characters you feel good about and get better. Just don't get frustrated at the game, remember to always have fun.

:) Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

Don't get hit.

Is it just me or is the knockback cranked right up at 9.0 intensity for Classic and then dialed back massively on All Star Hard mode?

Hopefully with the Tourney patch they patch in the ability to open the home menu while in the online menu. It's ridiculous having to quit to add people.
