If any of you are military sim buffs and haven't played Arma 3, you're very much missing out. I highly recommend picking it up. While it does have a great amount of single-player content, playing it in MP, and specifically with TeamSpeak and TaskForceRadio is simply amazing. Easily worth $30 IMO, especially since the community is extremely active.

The way BIS does their DLC is well done and doesn't fragment the online community either. If you don't own the DLC then you cannot be a pilot (or gunner?) in the vehicle, but you can still be a passenger. Any of the new features, such as the new helicopter physics is free for everyone as well as part of their "platform updates".

I was tempted but then I looked it up on youtube and it looked a bit too complicated for my tastes. Little things like needing a mod to edit loadouts which then need to be exported and you have to modify scripts just to use them? Maybe I got it wrong but it looked more like a modders playground than a game.

You can't just give them a random US address and then buy it with a credit card or PayPal?

Well, it says:
To complete your secure online order, please enter your billing information below. The billing information should be exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.
Not sure how it would work with paypal, assuming I'm going to use the same debit card.

Will Resident Evil 4 get a 75% discount any time soon?

And still no deal for Trails in the Sky. Seems like my purse is safe for now.

So yeah, headed out to the gym for a bit, the entire time an old el paso ad was playing in my head.

I got back and this happened.

Legend of Grimrock II for only 25% as a daily deal? Breaks my heart..

So GAF, my first purchase will probably be Dishonored.. Do I go for the bare game, or are the DLC worth getting?

So what should i buy with my laptop being Intel® Core™ i3 2330M/GeForce 520MX?

Bad sale for me honestly. Picked up few wishlisted titles, thought of biting CoD Ghosts, wanna grab Divinity but my laptop... meh. And it's really really weird to not have flashes, communities and any badge games :(

Oh and, was there any price mistakes? :)

Get Torchlight 2 if it's still available, should run fine at Medium settings and 720p, and it's really fun.
have it!

Hey guys, just thought I would drop my humble bundle link for a couple of copies of Insurgency here, enjoy.

I just bought Resident Evil 4. It never clicked with me on the Gamecube (I know I am a weirdo) but I am going to make a good go of getting into it now.

I am still in two minds about Revelations whilst it is on the VIP section of GMG.

I'd probably be more inclined to pick up Rocksmith if they didn't release a new version every year. It should be a platform like Rock Band was.

Not exactly easy to find a cable for it either. Only option has been to buy the PS3 game and then trade the disc back to the store. Oh and charging to import DLC you already paid for is pretty bullshit also. Thanks for reminding me that I don't want to learn guitar that badly.

There are only 2 versions and if it helps you can transfer your songs over to a 2015 version if it comes out for $10. The 2014 version has being on sale since 2013 and there are 'no plans' for a 2015 version according to Ubisoft. They literally just released the game for Xbone/PS4 like 20 days ago.

I got a feeling the series might release every 2 years. So we could see a Rocksmith 2016 next year.

$10 too much in my opinion but I appreciate the reply. Their naming doesn't do much to quell my fears about more frequent revisions. Ubisoft is Ubisoft after all.

Not really frequent if we have only had 2 games since 2011 with no sign of a 3rd.

Transferring RS1 songs to RS 2014 gets you 50 extra songs for RS 2014.

What time of day do GMG usually change their deals? The Purple Sunday offers are still available and I am mulling over a couple of games.

I shouldn't get them as I have several new games that should at least be loaded before buying more.

Bastion and its spiritual succesor Transistor are on sale.

I like action RPGs ... but have no exposure to these games. Any Gafers have either and can give me some guidance? Should I get them?

Sorry one more question, should I get teh GTA pack? Its 10 bucks, all GTA games from III to IV (liberty city, vice city, san andreas as well).

I have never played GTA before but not sure the PC versions are the right one to get?

I also have a 360 and PS3 if its better.

Almost pulled the trigger on Divinity OS & Grimrock II, but I'm going to wait for (any possible) Christmas sale on those -- provided the discounts on them are not the same.

Otherwise, I grabbed Age of Wonders III.

I'd normally tell you to get Bastion, the superior of the two games imo (4 hours into Transistor) since while less ambitious in its gameplay design, it's the more cohesive package, but, Bastion has been cheaper than this before, so wait for Winter Sale if you can

Thanks to both, its a done deal then

Torchlight - 3.74 EUR
Terraria - 1.99 EUR
GTA Complete Pack (ROW) - 9.99 EUR
Bastion - 5.99 EUR
Dust: An Elysian Tail - 2.79 EUR
To The Moon - 2.79 EUR
DarkEnd - 6.49 EUR

I held off on Transistor just because I think I can get it cheaper during the next sale or next year. I have a lot of games to play right now!

Thanks again.

Yes. Be prepared to tweak all of them, though. For example with GTA IV resolution and all graphics settings default to lowest and can't be changed if you have more than 2GB of VRAM. (simple fix on that particular problem, but just sayin')

Too late!!! I will have to make it up later ...

Thanks for the help though.

Same here, Divinity price still feels a bit steep for a sale. Looking to get the Collector's Edition to get a friend into it.

Ya, I figured as much. I dont mind tweaking or mods, but I was a bit worred about a post i saw recently on NeoGaf which claimed that there was a steam update which removed a bunch of songs from a certain GTA (dont remember which one) and that bothered me a bit ...

Trails in the Sky is expected to go on sale on gog.com soon from what I hear.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Trails in the Sky go 33-50% off on Steam, especially if they time it at the same time as SC is released. Just hoping that SC gets released this month instead of pushed back even further.

For GTA3 and VC, install the SilentPatch (for a bunch of fixes) and GInput (for modern controller support).

For San Andreas, it's a little trickier thanks to the latest update to the steam version. They removed some tracks from the radio station streams and track lookup and updated the exe to never play the missing tracks. Most mods require the 1.0 exe, but using a 1.0 exe with the new streams and lookup causes the game to crash if it tries to play one of the missing songs. There may be a downgrader that adds the missing music and reverts the exe back to 1.0, but I'm not sure of the legality of such a thing. I have the "Hot Coffee" disk version and I was able to restore from it. The San Andreas SilentPatch works with most versions of the exe, including the new Steam version. It's still in beta though, so there's no GTAGarage link yet and there may be bugs. These were the last 2 updates: http://gtaforums.com/topic/669045-iiivcsaasi-silentpatch/page-84#entry1066581222

If you're going to use a 1.0 exe and data, you will probably want to use this GInput, by a different author, for modern controller support.

Yay PC gaming!

I never got my resolution to work. Please share. :)
