Post your lists GAF.
Feeling It:
Greninja - Even though his up smash has been nerfed, I still enjoy playing as him in battles. That and he is the perfect character to troll my friend with.
Bowser - I never used Bowser before, but I'm so glad that I do now. So many changes and buffs that makes him so great.
Falco - He has his (several) downsides, though I still enjoy using him in battles that I'm comfortable with.
Pac Man - He is like the definition of fun because of his specials.
Luigi - Just like Falco, though he gets KO'd a lot easier imo.
Charizard - So glad that Charizard has the spotlight and isn't stuck with the Pokemon Trainer (not a fan of alternating through characters). His side smash hits like a truck even at 50-70% and his Rock Smash is pretty useful (super armor).
Duck Hunt - Haven't done much with him recently, but he is still fun.
Shulk - I usually don't take advantage of his arts (just Shield, Smash, and Buster at rare occasions), but even when normal he is a good character. I'm always feeling him.

Not Feeling It:
Palutena - Her default specials are pretty lame. Too bad that custom moves can't be used online unless you're against friends.
Olimar - I used him before. He did not fit my playstyle at all. I'm not good at sorting Pikmin and using the right one in a situation.
Wii Fit Trainer: Has potential, though I can't really do good with him/her.
Diddy Kong, Pit, Dark Pit - I can't really get a good handle of any of them. Things could change if I practice more.
Wario - He isn't leaving this list until I learn the ways of hopping off of the bike.

Undecided:
King Dedede - I like Bowser yet I'm unsure about King Dedede. I'll probably use him a little more often in the future.
Sonic - I hear positive changes about him yet I haven't really used him. He was my main in Brawl though so I'll see how he is here.

Basically seeding. 10 players in Block A (again, this all varies from event to event), another 10 in B, etc. If someone loses enough points or gains enough, they can move into another block.

I see

....though at that point you might as well have small blocks and do a soccer league-style relegation setup :P

After playing the 3DS version for so long, the Wii U gamepad controls feel pretty awkward. Even though I have a second stick I find myself never using it, and I remapped the shoulder buttons to function identically to the 3DS.

Also the lag is just as bad as on 3DS in 4 player game modes. I played about 10 games of 4 player (Glory and Fun both) and a lot of them were completely unplayable. 1v1 works fine as it always did on 3DS, with minimal lag.

Hey man I gotta dip. Great matches though even with some of the lag. Your robin is seriously pretty good, not to mention your santadorf lol. Good stuff. :)

That was one laggy match.

GGs Jagsrock, I hate your Sonic! ;_;
Yeah it seemed like it got worse the longer we played. Haha and I hate your robin lol. I'll hear arc fire in my nightmares

Ya not sure what the heck was going on in that last match it went to all hell and all I could do was dodge around during those long ass lagg spikes lol. It just turned into a slideshow all of a sudden.

currently developing a rage cycle where I think i 'might' be good at smash bros, then play like 40 games where I go 'oh that's right I'm bullshit'

but I'll get a few wins later to repeat the cycle. God damnit Doc Mario why can't you block for shit, you little retard.

Yeah i know, It was probably sakurai telling me to go to bed lol.

I have the issue of picking one character from the get-go to "master" before even attempting to play most of the others. Right now that character is R.O.B., and I'm really learning tons of useful things about the way he plays.

His side special has this incredible ability to deflect projectiles, which I only recently discovered. I've KO'd opponents before by deflecting their fully charged projectiles back at them with the move. And it's a great, powerful attack in its own right that can be used as crowd control or as a quick recovery attack to damage an opponent quickly and make some space for yourself.

Right, put together my list.

I'M REALLY FEELING IT:

- Robin: I FEEL EVERYTHING. Could go on and on about how much I love Robin. Everything that Robin can do is so satisfying - Arcfire set-ups, Levin up-air chases, Thoron snipes, Thoron mind-games, Elwind meteors; Robin has so many options for so many situations, and it's so rewarding to apply them and outplay your opponent with them. Robin just feels like a character that gives you a bunch of stuff and leaves it up to you to get creative with it. I love that, and it also helps that I love the character and their game, too. If only I could actually shield-grab, and Robin would be literally flawless for me.
- Ness: I've never actually liked playing Ness in a Smash game before this. I basically just tried him out here on a dumb whim, since I was feeling really burnt by so many games I was losing to any Mac with the sense to stay away from the ledges as Robin. The word on the street was that Ness was a pretty hard counter to Mac, but when I started putting the time in... man, Ness is fun. He's got tons of tools and cute tricks, and moreover, almost everything he does just feels really good to land. N-air, u-air, b-air, and f-air are amazing moves that are satisfying as hell to connect with. The back air in particular is one of my favourite kill moves in the game. So meaty! I think of Ness in a lot of the ways I think of Robin - a character with nothing but options, and a diverse arsenal of mind-games. PK Thunder is the GOAT projectile, PK Fire is basically only slightly worse Arcfire (part of what made the transition easier, I guess), his grab game/reward is actually the best in the game, and the baseball bat is... probably my favourite Smash in the whole game. Killing someone with that feels so incredible, you don't even know. Reflecting with it is even better.
Palutena: I am on and off with Palutena, and I think lately I'm feeling pretty good about her. I still think her f-tilt is complete garbage, but a lot changed when I started putting time into her jab, and especially her down throw, which leads into an incredible amount of kill options and combos. D-throw into up-air is amazing, and occasionally d-throw to Up-Smash for the people who don't expect it. Of course, I'm occasionally sort of frustrated with her; I think you need to work harder as Palutena to get good reward versus, like, Ness or Mac, but even if I'm not too successful with her, it feels great to get a hard read on someone and hit them with the Up-Smash. Speaking of, I love her Smash attacks. They're all slow (especially f-smash, ack), but actually connecting them is glorious; they leave no survivors. I enjoy most of her customs, too. Superspeed is so incredibly fun, and the stuff you can do out of it is insane. Honestly, I'm not that great at doing much out of it, but all the same, barreling through a stage and back-airing an opponent feels awesome with it. And Reflect Barrier is probably my favourite reflector in the game, as well. It comes out deceptively quickly, and it's weirdly effective as a gimping tool thanks to the windbox.
Luigi: He's so weird, but man, after watching a couple people do work with him, I've made Luigi a pet project of mine, and man, he's pretty fun. Down throw (you may notice a pattern here :lol) feels really rewarding for what you get out of it (that is, two f-airs), and all of his aerials are really good and totally lagless. He has really nice flow for how slippery he is, which I appreciate.
Zero Suit Samus: I'm pretty useless with her right now, but she was one of the earlier characters I picked up in my Quest For A Mac Counter, and while that didn't really work out (since I'm useless with her :lol), I do like how she feels. I can't really offer anything very academic after that, heh. But she's a fun character to use, and I like how she (seems) to be about using her speed and her zoning game to crack people open, and just goes in once that's happened. That stunner shot is such a good special, haha.
Link: I put a lot of time into Link in the demo, and while I'm sure a lot of the stuff I picked up there is either outdated or forgotten, I'd still say I like how Link feels in this game. Everyone's recovery is so good that arrow gimping is lame against everyone not named Little Mac or Mario, though. :(
Megaman: I straight up could not fathom Megaman for the longest time. I liked him, but I also... didn't. Pellets seemed sort of worthless to me (how wrong I was), and it just felt that Megaman wasn't... very good. Well, I still don't know how good Megaman is (but Zucco makes a strong case), but I picked him up randomly a few days ago, and man, he's really fun. I finally understood pellets. I was getting stuff out of Megaman's throws. I started wrecking people with F-Smash edgeguards, and I realized how good Megaman's aerials are. Especially back air, goddamn I love connecting that move. Feels so great. I am, of course, total garbage with him, to be clear.
Bowser: I hated using Bowser in Melee, and I hated using him in Brawl. Here... well, it's crazy how much a little more speed can do to make a character feel that much better. I like Bowser in this game. He's reasonably quick and, of course, scary powerful, and weirdly, I've found him to be a pretty solid off-stage threat, too, which I feel was definitely not the case before.
- Lucario: Aura is TOTAL BULLSHIT, but it's still fun playing Lucario. He's vaguely a budget Mewtwo, and Mewtwo remains my secret favourite Melee character (ilu Marth, but I know who I gravitated to first). All his dumb DBZ shit is fun, he's just... pretty fun.
- Jigglypuff: THE QUEEN HAS RETURNED. Sort of. I am way less invested at getting good at Jiggs than I was when I got this game, but I really enjoy using her in this game, all the same. She's not quite Melee Jiggs, but Rest being returned to most of its' former glory is great. Besides, the buffs to her hat-game were incredible. The Nurse Joy hat is literally the greatest hat a Pokemon has ever worn in a Smash game, and the Selena hat is great, too. RIP exercise headband, though.
- Ike: I like Ike! Mostly. I don't play him much, but he feels a lot better than he ever did in Brawl. His air game feels solid as hell, and that back-air especially is just... great.
- Sheik: Sheik's been my main lady in Smash for a long time. I think I owe the franchise for liking Sheik so much as a character in the first place, haha. And I think Smash 4's Sheik is the... coolest one yet. Like, Bouncing Fish and the grenade are way better than the transformation, and the chain ever were. I like her in general. She's really fast while still feeling precise in controlling her, she's got an amazing projectile in the needles, and she'll walk all over you if you let her. Too bad she's literally got no good kill options. She has a gimp. Maybe. Gimping would matter more if you fought more people with recoveries that didn't let you come back from the very bottom corner of the stage. But she's stylish enough and fun enough to use in this game that I don't mind. I won't make a habit of using her though, lest I drive myself crazy working my ass off for a single stock.
- Greninja: I liked Greninja way more before the patch, honestly. Because I adored Hydro Pump. It's not as ludicrous as it was before, and man, that's just not as fun. Still, he's got a lot of what makes Sheik so fun to play, except it actually feels like Greninja has kill options that are kind of practical. I just like his moveset in general, though. If Sheik is this warrior ninja type, then Greninja totally embraces the sneakier part of it. He's got tons of fun tricks, and Shadow Sneak is one of my new favourite moves, not for much practical application (but it's definitely got it!), but it's such a good concept that it's hard not for me to enjoy executing it and surprising someone with it.

NOT FEELING IT:

- Rosalina: Undoubtedly top tier as fuck. Can't use her for shit. My whole style slows down when I'm using her, and I struggle managing both her and Luma at once. I just don't understand her, and I don't have much fun micromanaging all her shenanigans.
Little Mac: I really tried putting the time into him. Like, really. But... god, I just can't get myself to get that excited while playing him. The utter absence of an air-game kills me. I'm not patient enough for how Mac plays. Definitely not patient in the way Mac demands, at least. I feel so held back using Mac, and of course, his recovery is god-awful. I legitimately have no fun with the guy, and for the most part, I don't enjoy fighting the good ones, either. At least with Robin, where it feels like I'm processing so much shit per second my head's about to blow. :lol
- Captain Falcon: Dude controls like a drunk driving a high performance sports car. I appreciate the Cap, but using him feels like I'm never totally in control. :lol He's fun, but I'm spending most of the match over-extending and for such a fast character, I don't have much of a feel for very rewarding approach options. I'd say I have fun with him, and to an extent I do, but... eh.
- Samus: Slow and floaty, and her zoning game feels kind of one-trick (everything centering around that charge shot of hers). I have trouble against her as Robin, since s/he doesn't have a great way to approach her with all the mobility issues, but as a character I've tried to play, she feels... not good.
- Yoshi: Ugh. I don't get Yoshi at all. Nothing about him makes sense! His Up B is a projectile!? And you're saying that his neutral is a grab? Playing him doesn't make much sense to my brain, haha. He breaks so many 'rules' with how I expect a Smash character to fundamentally feel, and that's been the case since Melee. Even a flash kick and a straighter posture can't save me from not feeling comfortable playing the little dude at all. Still get hype for Red Yoshi, though.
- Toon Link: I guess he's like Link. I guess he's alright. But... eh. Eh.
- Villager: S/he's weird and campy. I can't handle all that time you need to spend near the tree, and trying to get kills is similarly a really wacky thing that seems to 90% rely on your opponent deciding they've had enough of this shit.
- Diddy: I feel like I hate most of the top tiers in this game. :lol But yeah, I tried him out since, hey, Flavour of the Month, but man, I don't like him. I can't even explain why, but he just feels like a character made out of... really good gimmicks. That's probably unfair, but it's the best way I can describe some of the shit he does with bananas and the insanity of his up-air chains. I don't get Diddy, and I expect the only thing I'll understand is that he bodies me for free online.
- Olimar: I will readily admit that I wasn't feeling Olimar in Brawl, either, in spite of him being conceptually my favourite character in the game (still is, in fact). Cutting his available Pikmin in half just feels rough, though. Feels like you've got to spend way more time plucking Pikmin, and generally I feel like he doesn't have enough options for. Doesn't help that he feels like total garbage in the 3DS version thanks to how screwed up the AI is. Maybe he's good, though?
- Ganondorf: Slow and limited. Eh.
- Fox: Meh.
- Duck Hunt Dog: Is he probably good? Yeah, sure. Do I have any fun playing as him or against him? Not really. Doesn't really mesh with how I like to play the game, but I respect those patient enough to get the good stuff out of him.

I WISH I WERE FEELING IT:

- Shulk: This bums me out a lot, but I just don't get Shulk. I know that n-air is godlike, I know that Speed is insanely good, I know that he's got the most absurd range out of any sword-fighter there's ever been, I know that Shulk is a great character. I just... don't get him. I can't keep track of all the Monado Arts you need to keep going between during a match, and it kills me. Frequently literally. I like how Shulk feels, for the most part. I love Xenoblade. I just fall apart completely with him outside of the safe hugbox that is the training room. I need to put in time with him.
- Zelda: I feel like Zelda is, on paper, a character I should enjoy. She's got lots of fun tricks, like the elevator to death Up+B, and her new down special, but it feels really annoying trying to go in with her because I don't think she has a very good neutral game. Like, there's her n-air and like... that's it. And n-air isn't even that amazing. But even still, doing good with Zelda seems like it'd be really fun. The lightning kicks, the d-air spike, dat Farore's Wind. But I always sour spot the lightning kick, I always miss the d-air spike, and people get wise to Farore's Wind way too fast. Maybe I'll get crazy and start putting time into her after watching more Nairo archives.
- Charizard: I feel like I should like Charizard more than Bowser. Charizard has more Stuff than Bowser. I like Charizard more than Bowser as, like, a general thing. I like messing around with Charizard in training mode. Anywhere else, it's like... I dunno. I try to get things going with him, and it doesn't really happen.
- Peach: I really like seeing good Peach play. I really enjoy fighting Peach in general. I... haven't actually played her much myself. I've made a few efforts, but she feels like a character you really need to put work in to start feeling results, and I don't like playing Peach enough as a gut reaction to really feel excited about putting that time in.
- Wii Fit Trainer: I was really excited about WFT, honestly. I thought s/he'd be a great character to just troll people with, and she's hilarious for who s/he is. The exercise advice and her whole attack concept is fantastic. But man, you think one thing is gonna come out when you do an input, and then something else entirely happens. I expect it's just something you get used to, but... eh. I can't really motivate myself to try. Her customs are fucking insanity, though. The exploding Breathing Exercise; the Sun Salutation that carries you off stage; that fucking heavy volleyball. I am almost certain she has the best customs in the game. Or at least the most obvious improvements through her customs. God damn.
- Marth: What did they do to you. ;_;
- Lucina: I... have more fun with Lucina. It's weird, since like... I guess Marth is technically superior in every way, since they're functionally identical, except Marth kills way earlier on his tippers. It's just that I kinda prefer not having to worry about spacing correctly, and I'm not so invested in either Marth or Lucina to worry too much about optimizing my play. Either way, she's got the fundamental issues that Marth does, and it's just that there's a certain... jank to how she plays. With how landing lag touches so many moves, Mar/cina feels like a dog running free... and then being yanked back by their leash tied to some post. You always have to be mindful of these immutable limitations with her, and it's jarring since it feels like she should be way more, eh, graceful than the way she currently plays. I mean, especially when Marth has played as gracefully as you'd expect since Melee.
- Pac Man: He's cool! I don't get anything about him!
- Pikachu: I like a lot of Pikachu's tools. All the stuff that ESAM was doing at the Sky Invitational was especially eye-opening to me, and it seems like the little rat can recover from like... anywhere. Can't really figure out how you put most of his anything together, though.
- Pit: Mrghghgghh. I'm gonna be honest, I cannot understand Pit at all. I wish I did. Too many multi-hit attacks. Not enough kill options. I'm bad with Palutena's Bow. There's a good character in there, but I don't click with him at all.
- Bowser Jr: I don't get him. Not at all. He's cool, but... man, I do not get him.

Anyone I haven't mentioned I've forgotten about, and therefore haven't really played much.

Who are considered the top tiers?

-Diddy Kong
-Wario

-Palutena
-Greninja

People I used to love and now don't:
