Trophies mean nothing for potential DLC characters. =P If anything, I think it may even increase their chances.

Always did wonder this, but which NON-THIRD PARTY character do you all think is/was "overdue" to be playable in Smash? In a "It took until Melee/Brawl/4 for that character to be playable?" way.

I have to say that I think that Little Mac was overdue. He feels like a character that should have been in Melee at least.
Villager is the big one for me. Animal Crossing had a really unique presence in Brawl -- there was a stage, trophies page, item, and assist trophy, but there wasn't a character. It was such a glaring omission. As soon as Villager was revealed for this game I knew I'd be content with the rest of the roster.

Going back earlier, Dedede, Wario, and Diddy Kong deserved to be included as far back as the original Smash Bros. They were long overdue by the time they finally made the cut for Brawl.

Gonna be real, I didn't like Lucas in Brawl. PK Freeze was and is so much worse than PK Fire, and I preferred the silly domesticity of Ness's grounded attacks over Lucas's flashier stuff. Rope snake was cool, though.

In any case, the little dude has suffered for long enough. He deserves one game where he's at the top.

also kumatora > lucas
Lucas had PK Freeze AND Fire :P

Awesome games man, we definitely gotta play again. Great DK and Jr.

And yeah some of those SDs haha. Especially on Skyloft. The stage didn't want to wait for me to let go of the ledge before taking off...twice haha.

I'm most excited for custom stage sharing, i just like making really bad stages, but it'll be cool to quadruple the stage pool with rad customs that people make

Can't seem to add you soxxx. Is that the correct NNID?

Beats, I can play right now, and then play soxxx later, or vice versa, whatever works.

According to my Strategy Guide, you can CHEAT around this one.

If you have the no Respawn Invincibility Badge, apparently the game doesn't count as you losing a life (although you still lose a stock, it just doesn't see you as losing a life). So says the player's guide, haven't tested it myself.

Do you have the exact wording from the guide and can you clarify which guide you're using?

I don't have the badge yet so I can't test this myself, but can anyone clarify if this "loophole" works? It would make this challenge A LOT easier if so.

How do you draw a straight line on the editor?

Still haven't drawn a penis stage, which is embarrassing.

Press X to turn on the grid, tap where you want the line to begin, then tap where you want it to end.

Also made PM WarioWare.

Might try to do Yoshi's Story but not too sure how I could properly emulate Randall the Cloud.

Game finally arrived; way too late, should have been here last Friday. Played it for a few hours and of course I love it. Really digging Zero Suit Samus, Little Mac and (for mid-difficulty AI) Ike. ZSS and Mac are very powerful and fast, I love the dodge-gameplay you can pull of with them on FD-levels with no items. Ike is probably kind of shitty online against real people, but fighting the AI he's really strong. Question: what's the point of Ike's neutral B? In what situations is it better to use than just a powered up smash? I guess when you need to defeat an enemy by taking them upwards rather than sideways?

Also was Fox's voice always this goofy?

My NNID is LonelyGreyWolf (I'm in Europe). Probably won't be playing online for a week or so, but after that I'll be online a lot! Will be playing this for a long time to come for sure.

When they're approaching from above, though you're probably better off with an Usmash or Utilt there anyway. It does have some super armor frames though, which can catch people off guard who like to dash attack into you alot. It's also a good tactic on the edge if you don't have time/think you can pull off the Dtilt spike.

And technically since SF64, yes :B

What's super armor? Is that another word for launch/knockback-resistance? In what frames do you have that; is it when you initialize the move or when you end it?

Super armor means you'll take the damage, but no knockback/flinching from an attack. So you can finish whatever move you're doing uninterrupted, basically.

In the case of Ike's neutral B, I believe they activate right when you let go of the charge.

Super armor is what makes Charizard such a beast. Tanking all sorts of rushdown BS with rock smash is the best. Even the little fragments from the rock will interrupt moves if you smash too early, too, it's a great approach option if you're okay with taking the percentage hit. And you should be, with the 'zard. He's all about eating damage but dealing out more.

Flare Blitz will also hit Shulk out of counter because of the super armor, which is hilarious.

EDIT:
I think this is the closest I can get to remaking Yoshi's Story (Melee) with the unfortunately limited moving platforms...

Good stuff. I've held off on remaking stages in favor of more original variations of stage concepts knowing that I can get remakes off of others later.
