That was one of the worst trailers I have had the misfortune of watching. I will never forgive Cameron for allowing this franchise to leave him and get decimated like this. What a pathetic trailer. Also Emilia Clarke is horrible at acting.

God that was hilarious. Like fan fiction parody of T2. But I still enjoyed the shit out of it and will watch it for the amusement.

At this point I just want Cameron to do a finale movie just to put an end to the disasters that's been.

Save us Cameron.

if the t-800 is the same as in T1, does that mean the t-1000 is the same, too?
they try to kill them as they arrive, but the t-1000 manages to get away, which makes him copy another person this time?

Like, honestly, the idea to remix Terminator & Terminator 2 into one movie (almost Evil Dead style, really) isn't a bad one. But if that's all the film is (and I believe that IS all the film is) then you gotta do a way better job selling it than this.
Maybe they mixed T3 in as well, and Judgement Day happens at the end! Sequel bait!

Also they should've just gotten Lena Headley to Sarah Connor instead, she already did it before.

The moment they said that Arnold is back for this movie, I knew that it would become a B-rated movie. It looks like high-budget TV-show, heh.

WTF, that might be the most pandering trailer for old franchise I've seen (and Jurassic World/Star Wars trailers just released). They don't even try to hide spewing out old quotes....

I can understand a Terminator, emotionless and dull saying "come with me if you want to live", but a human? come on.

That line was so forced it emptied my soul in dismay

I.... didn't think it looked that bad? I'm kind of interested in a Terminator movie were time travel legit fucks something up.

Looks potentially more interesting than T3 or T4

the first person who said this line in the history of the franchise was a human.

I'll admit that the concept intrigues me. But the trailer is terrible. Also, Jai Courtney has zero charisma and I don't understand how in the world he's getting so many roles.

That wig...

HAHAHAHAHAHA. The school bus flying, that was hi-larious.

But we knew this was going to be a pile of shit before we even saw any of this, or the movie posters.

God, what a pathetic production. The acting is god awful but that's not a surprise given the casting.

Since the trailer summarized the movie so neatly for me, I'll just wait for the dude's shirtless nude scenes compilation and consider myself satisfied.

The only way this movie can be redeemed is if after the credits we get a scene of younger Linda Hamilton (CGI, I don't care) waking up in the Pescadero State Hospital saying: "What a horrible nightmare..."

I didn't dislike T3 at all and at least that movie finally said fuck it Judgment Day is happenin' no matter what. It felt like a decent jumping point into new territory, but they still can't seem to get past the idea of stopping Judgment Day.
Yet that's precisely what's wrong with it. The Terminator sent to protect John in T2 had plenty of opportunities to spare both him and Sarah the trouble of attempting to prevent Judgment Day, rather than letting them risk their lives trying. So what exactly was the point of convincing them that Judgment Day was prevented with the destruction of the T-1000, the arm and chip recovered by Cyberdyne, and himself, only for a new one to show up years later with that "Judgment Day is inevitable" crap in T3 when the previous one could've just told them the same thing?

Looks fine, ill watch it.
For John Connor, they shoulda gotten a badass looking dude, someone who has seen shit and the kind of guy who will fuck shit up.. Like the T2 John Connor

T-1000 jumping through the window looked horrible, same with CG old Ahnold in the end there.

Liked the Old Ahnold reveal, only good thing about the trailer.

Well, at least we got one good teaser in the past week.

I'm pretty sure that Cameron, once he gets the rights back, will sell them again. He has no reason to continue.

I get that's why people had a beef with it, but I didn't really care. I just wanted it to move on.

Why is Sarah Connor a badass from the get-go now?

I loved her character because she was a regular-waiter-turned-badass, this kills any character progression for her.

She also knows who John Connor and Kyle Reese are. What's the point?

My coworker and I just watched it. When it was over we quietly went back to what we were doing as if we had just watched nothing.

Did he ever really have full ownership though (beyond maybe the first)? I always assumed he had lost at least part of it in order to get the funding for T2?

wait a minute

Is that Old Terminator Arnold shooting at 1984 T-800 as he arrives in 1984 after that "I've been waiting for you" line?

Thats kinda neat. I like the spear attack too.

Hype rising

The plot synopsis that leaked a few months ago was 100% spot on.

Skynet sends another Terminator back in time to kill Sarah's parents in the 70s, it succeeds but is defeated by another reprogrammed Terminator, which raises Sarah as she raised John in T2. So when Kyle arrives at 1984, she's already a badass, and the older Terminator defeats the 1984 Terminator sent to kill Sarah as an adult. I don't remember the rest, but due to the altered timeline, an additional/different T-1000 gets sent to 1992 to murder John and Sarah and Kyle, John's kid gets sent back as well, setting up the climactic fight.

Because a T-800 was sent back earlier in her life when she was a kid and raised her to become a badass. Hence old Arnold in the trailer.

I think you've got the backstory wrong.

The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John's fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.

On the verge of winning the war against Skynet, Connor sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese back through time to save his mother's life and ensure his own existence. But what he finds on the other side is like nothing he ever expected. After being orphaned at age 9 by a Terminator, Sarah Connor has since been brought up by another Terminator, played by Schwarzenegger, programmed to protect her. This Terminator has then trained her to face her destiny, which she adamantly tries to reject.[3]

I don't fucking understand how the timeline in this works.

So both T-800s got sent to the past and Reese and the T-1000 got sent to the same time period?

If so then why does it look like the 1980s still?

I'm sorry, but I still can't understand why some people are Ok with this movie deleting Terminator 1 and Terminator 2.

This is like if Universal released Back to the Future 4, with Justin Bieber as Marty McFly and Adam Sandler as Doc Brown, and they just go back in time and preventing the events of the 3 original movies from even happening.

Why would anyone like this?

I'm going to pretend this is the start of a new Terminator franchise. It has a totally different feel than the first two movies (which could keep a straight face and not look ridiculous).

This is cheesy popcorn high octane fan service wank for the summer. Day one. I won't be offended.

Ooooooof, this looks bad. But maybe bad enough to be entertaining? Watched T3 recently and laughed my ass off at how earth shatteringly terrible it was.

Remember that part where they are both looking dumbfounded at one of the flying machines and then she's like *ding* lightbulb goes off and has the great idea to shoot at it and then he's like "you remind me of my mom" or some shit. The most fucking rote shit I've ever heard. People got paid to make that movie. Fuck.
