Terrible, but might make for a good drunk movie.

The lack of Matt Smith in the trailer leads me to believe he will be in the movie for 2 seconds. Probably a good thing.

As other have said, I like the idea of mixing the first two movies since it's time travel and I feel like stuff would get messed up pretty bad eventually, but hard to say if it's going to be good story wise.

But I'm not going to watch it for the story anyway!

This will get recycled into the poster for the next Transformers I bet.

Not necessarily, his role is supposed to be a plot secret, so it makes sense they're hiding him now.

Holy shit that was terrible. When Clarke said the 2 lines from t1 & t2 I cringed. She does NOT come across as badass, she comes across as a 14 year old school girl. Also the make up on John Connors face resembling scars looks terrible.

No atmosphere, weird tv show lighting.

Only thing which looked OK I guess was the CGI.

Didn't look that bad to me. Of course, I know better than to be hopeful, but not being a diehard Terminator series fan, I'm more morbidly curious than frustrated.

Lee Byung Hun as the new T1000 is inspired casting. He is definitely like an Asian Robert Patrick. I like the idea of John Connor being a Nancy and Sarah Connor being a badass from the get go.

Not so sure about how the structure appears to be T1 blended together with T2 with some new ingredients. I'm sure it's making a lot of stalwart Terminator fans salty as heck though!

I dunno, seems like there will be a fight to get to the time machine in the future, so something like the first 30 or 40 minutes will be future fighting.

I'm amused at the amount of people calling this trailer out for fan-pandering while not doing the same for Star Wars.

It looks bad but the trailer was still more engaging than Star Wars or Jurassic World.

This looks worse than T3.

Should have made a sequel to Salvation, that was a decent movie.

Salvation's one redeemable thing is its good chase setpiece in the middle of the film... and the ragaty chaingun toting terminator early on.... that is it :(

I was pleasantly surprised by where they're going with the plot in this but holy shit was the writing and delivery F'ING BAAAAAAD
...and yeah, other than looking like a young Linda Hamilton from some angles, Clarke seems like a big mistep

Actually, this movie kind of fixes the problem with the whole franchise.

Skynet can keep sending Terminators back to kill Sarah. Like when shes on the crapper or when shes getting her hair permed. Sending a Terminator back to her childhood, to raise her to be a fighter, is the only way she will be prepared to fight back.

The time travel shenanigans are beyond silly. The franchise should have moved on into a future war and concluded with some satisfaction of Skynet being destroyed after Reese and the T-800 (fine, two T-800s so T3 can happen) go back to the 80's and 90's. Salvation was a movie that took itself super seriously but had absolutely nothing to say. It didn't advance the series' plot at all, John learns nothing except where to find Kyle Reese.

The idea that Skynet is continually pumping out Terminator prototypes and keeps sending them back to ensure its own survival raises the question of just how desperate it really is. It could send a single T-800 back into the 1950's, instruct it to win a Nobel prize in biology and physics, and create itself earlier than any of the existing timelines.

The trailer itself wasn't profoundly bad or something, but Kyle Reese is just an absolute miscast, trainwrecking the whole thing.

Willing to give Clarke the benefit of the doubt, even though she doesn't look anywhere near as "gritty" as Linda Hamilton.

I like that it's stupidly over the top and ridiculous, it's why i prefer T2/T3 over T1. When the franchise tries to be too serious it turns into Salvation which was garbage.

Crazy how the special effects from Terminator 2 (1991) look more photo realistic. It shows how ahead of its time Terminator 2 was, in terms of effects.

Ok the premise still worries me but I have to admit that trailer did a good job of peaking my interest. Also I have to say Emilia Clarke did a kick ass job of channeling her inner Linda Hamilton. Even sounded kind of like her.

I absolutely think the entire Star Wars trailer was fan pandering. The myriad of "youtube " reactions confirmed this. Look how people react like a circus trained seal when they do the falcon shot.

I'm half and half about it, Arnold is back and kills his 80s Terminator self quick.

Not digging the future stuff and Clarke as Sarah Connor in her teenage years?

The reset switch getting hit makes sense but seems like Paramount wants their own era of films by saying the last ones doesn't count...kinda.

I thought the Star Wars trailer was crap too. The Millennium Falcon shot being particularly cringe worthy.

So Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister and Sarah Connor walk into a bar...
