He says this is not the game that he heard about on Twitter. He interestingly says it's not even the Capcom game he heard about, which worries him. Maybe there are 2 capcom games, or maybe Worthy's source is bunk. Who knows at this point.

It was huge, is it today? How many fighting game players are there? It's not the PS2 days, it's a pretty niche market.

How about Uncharted 4 gameplay, The Order gameplay, BLOODBORNE, ... Jesus people are never happy. you guys always want surprises and megatons. And once we get the chance to see more gameplay of it its like'whatever, whats the next megaton?'

If we have no leaks through our insiders or other people, the companies themselves fuck up.

I doubt that's the only Capcom title though.You're expecting a SF game and an unexpected announcement, apart from the exclusivity, is something else.

This is clearly a timed exclusive. Hardly a "megaton". Very underwhelming if you were expecting that "big" Sony exclusive. I personally don't care that much but there are going to be a lot of meltdowns tomorrow for sure.

I guess this is why Shinobi and the others mentioned that some people are bound to be disappointed. Even if you don't like SF, if SFV is considered a "meh" megaton, then this keynote is bound to disappoint.

Edit: I wonder if this was Worthy's tease?

I don't believe Sony will buy Capcom/Konami/Sega however I think SF5/DMC5 will be PS4 exclusive.
Besides I have premonition Hello Games will be new Sony 1st party studio tomorrow and their space game.

It's a niche, but it's a sizeable and staunchly committed one.

Street Fighter V being exclusive to your platform pretty much locks that sizeable niche to your platform for the next 5 or 6 years. It's not just about securing an individual title or property, you're securing a generations worth of support from a subset of users.

We don't know what it is. For starters, it was released on Capcom's Japanese channel. And there's no point in releasing games for the Xbox One in Japan at this point. So it may be a default exclusive there while it's on all platforms in the west.

Aside from that, if it were exclusive to the PS4/PC, that would be a very big deal. Certainly bigger than DMC or Dragon's Dogma if you're talking about a sales point of view. This is what I was getting at earlier when I said that Sony could announce something major and people would consider it underwhelming because it isn't exactly what they wanted.

Dick move if Sony moneyhatted console exclusivity.
I would have hoped they funded a game a game like Dragon's Dogma 2 where Capcom won't do it because it did not live up to their internal sales projections but may be made if another party steps in.
That said, it's on their Japanese channel? I think. So maybe not exclusive WW

Guess we'll have to wait and see for more details to surface around SFV and the event on Saturday to see if anything else comes to fruition in terms of game announcements.

No, he means that he hopes this isn't the only game Capcom announce, because this isn't the capcom announcement that he heard about. Meaning hopefully there's THIS, and then what he heard about from them too.

Cool. Love Street Fighter but suck at fighters. Was looking forward to the last one but it never got brought up to current gen.

It's the community equivalent of CoD/GTA/Monster Hunter. The leader of the 'pack.' Ownership of said exclusivity pretty much gravitates a sizable audience of that community to that platform.
