Seriously,from a 20th anniversary Playstation anniversary marketing point of view the two alternatives with more sense are FFVII and Crash.Shenmue was never a Playstation game,it was and always will be, the Dreamcast jewel.
 
awww crap...first time I requested a ticket to the hype train and it already was full :(

In other news....how the hell can everyone stay so hyped?
For me it's easy...I'm old and boring so everything gets my heart pumping ^^
 
I seriously don't get the Shenmue hype. The first two were complete flops. Why would a company sink money into a long dead franchise that nobody cared about originally?

well yeah that's kind of what I was trying to say there :P Most people will never consider a new Parappa a megaton but depending how much you love it, it very well could be to someone

Crash would probably be too big. Rules out FFVII remake for sure though.

The Last Guardian may still be there, but my gut tells me he's not referring to it. The Last Guardian is still considered to be somewhat a possibility in the "official" sense.

You know what, I wonder if he might be talking about Shadow of the Beast and he just forgot they announced it at Gamescom already. I wouldn't blame him with the way they've been silent on it ever since.
 
If not a single gem from the original PS1 era returns then this whole thing was a waste of time.

Wild Arms would be awesome, but Shenmue... unless they got a deal with SEGA or acquired the IP, I doubt it.
 
Seems like Sony is going for the jugular, a lot of people trying to downplay it by calling it niche. Exclusive SFV is a huge deal. Depending on what else is shown tonight and over the weekend Sony could lock round two down.
 
There is a panel on LoU MP (something I still play almost daily). I'm expecting a horde mode, that is standalone like Killzone Shadow Fall's co-op. I am also wondering if they will make LoU MP F2P like UC3.

I absolutely hope they don't make more DLC maps, because that will be extremely annoying (since they will definitely charge for it and kill the community)

This is why I think it must be a PS1 franchise.Marketing wise nothing more has sense.

Bayonetta 2 ended up as a Nintendo exclusive because of development funds, what's to say that the same couldn't happen with Shenmue 3.

I won't do this to myself anymore :x
