Lin in all honesty seems like a pretty neglected kid so her being a massive salt mine to Toph actually makes a lot of sense. I get the sense that she just wanted Toph's approval or praise for something that she achieved, but just never got it. Also looks like that Lin has asked about her dad as a kid, but Toph just never went into it. It probably infuriated her that Toph even bothered to answer Bolin's random question about while she ignored Lin's questioning about it while growing up.

Yeah, individually, the episodes aren't bad, but this season is looking like a bit of a flop.
Just not really feeling the plot is all. Kuvira is just a terrible villian.
I mean, the Su vs Kuvira fight was god-tier but at the end of the day season one Korra would probably have the ability to wreck her shit. Amon was amazing because he was terrifying and presented a credible threat. The Red Lotus was great because they were exceptional benders.
Kuvira on her own is just...meh. They needed an Amon or Vaatu tier villian for the SERIES ender. And maybe Kuvira's cannon will get her to that kind of threat, but the entire season she's been not that interesting.
Stop this. Did you not see thatShe spent like 3-4 episodes searching for the relevance to plot folder.
QUOTING FOR NEW PAGE
Also, might have to sub in this avatar courtesy of Azula...

Stop this. Did you not see that?hug
That was REAL.
SoKuvira is going to beat Korra with a heartfelt hug then.
LmaoDon't remind me.
The things I love are failing me.

"conceal, don't feel"
Wow so you're changing your avatar to a bender? I see how it is.
That fight can't have been done by the same people that did the first Korra v Kuvira fight, right? It's night and day apart
Can anyone explain to me what the point of the Korra subplot was at all?
"Hey out of no where I'm gonna ask the spirits for help"
"Oh they said no, oh well"
...
It's gotta be foreshadowing for them coming to actually help at the end right?
Su Beifong for best Beifong....she's a good metal bender and a good mother at least

Su might be about that action but she was dumb enough to get caught in the first place
conflicted tbh
toph is a terrible mother. also she got captured scamming people. at least su went out trying to assassinate someone lol.

honestly, no one wants it with peak Azula.
No one.

Kuviras a filler villian. Just token antagonist to provide something for Korra to be worried about. Zaheer was much better, even though they didn't explore his full potential.
Horrible.
that is by far the most awkward way of holding a phone I have ever seen.
0/10 immersion broken
I was going to reply to this because like many, you have misused filler....
but you are right atleast in regards to Korra herself. Like, she doesn't even need a 'new threat' if her problem is getting over her mental issues. And it's not like Kuvira herself is meaningful to her in any way.
Bei Fongs though? Imagine if this was from Suyin's perspective, and suddenly everything has more dramatic weight. Kuvira is fucking with her family by tearing them apart, but is also the vehicle for getting them together (Toph finally returned and made up with Lin and Opal is growing by rescuing them).
Kuvira is not filler really, but for all the talk about her being Korra's shadow, she has nothing to do with her.
Should have been an iPhone 4. Only way she could have gotten reception.

anyone has a youtube link? is the episode an hour long?
As someone who takes senseless selfies, I 11/10 approve.
No. It's all about that slow burn, baby.Kuvira is getting boring by the episode, sorry Toa TAK.
I like this. But then who is Moriarty?
You'll be waiting a long time.watched it was a good enough episode. still cant wait to see SOMEONE (ANYONE) whip kuviras ass.
