Huh, I never knew that! Cool.

Personally, I'm glad they never did that. A lot of what makes SotC for me is the weight of this solitary mission. It feels deeply personal to explore the world on your own and face down these colossi 1v1. Co-op would break that (for me).

How strong should my hype level be compared to the E3 conference?
I've had an exhausting week and that's why I don't feel it just yet :/

I predict it'll be between E3 2013 and E3 2014. Nothing quite close to the FFXV/KH3 reveal megaton, but substantially better than last year's conference (whose previously announced games either disappointed like The Order or lacked a proper showing like Uncharted, and whose two biggest surprises - Bloodborne and LBP 3 - leaked far ahead of time).

SFV alone is a bigger get for Sony than anything we've seen since GTAIII to be honest just in terms of the potential ROI, so at least that's some indication that they're not just resting on their laurels for 2015.

I'm skeptical if there will be any new announcements aside from street fighter v. It will probably be focused on games we already know about such as uncharted, the order, and until dawn

Yeah, probably. I hope Sony has one more huge surprise for the fans. If not... so be it. I'm also excited to see Uncharted 4, they better show some real gameplay footage this time. The Order: 1886 looks spectacular but will it be fun to play? I'm not sure after all the cinematic trailers. Until Dawn will be another Heavy Rain/Beyond: Two Souls kind of game.

And Santa Claus Monica will also be there, they blew everyone away on PS3. Really want to see what they can do with the power of PS4. Those guys are sick!

Philip Asher, a designer on the project, adds that there were clear benefits for making Dungeon Defenders 2 freemium console exclusive on PS4.

"Sony has been really good to work with for free-to-play games," he tells GameSpot.

"We think it's a good time to do it too. Free-to-play games weren't really a feature of last-generation consoles, so we're really excited to see that people can pick up this game for free on PS4 and start playing."

While a version for the Xbox One isn't completely off the table, Asher explains, "there are things we want to do later after the game is released that is more possible on PlayStation 4." He wasn't able to elaborate on what he meant by this, or whether he was referring to technical or publishing particulars.

He continued: "The support that indies get from Sony is exactly one of the reasons why we wanted to go with them. The people there are great, though that's not like we're saying the people at Xbox aren't great."
