A lot of the fan art posted in here both good and lewd usually comes from Tumblr.
Here is the source for a lot of the cute Kuvira fanart that's been posted this past week by the way.

Since it hasn't been posted.

I really don't like fanart like this. It takes the characters and twists them into something they are not. They aren't the artist's characters.

I actually just don't like fanart.

Oh, you will be visited tonight by the three ghosts of fanart past, present and future.

My main problem with Korra is just the lack of fun it has. Even really badly written series still has a certain charm to them. Korra isn't that bad, but it's not good either. Which I honestly find a lot worse than a laughble bad series.

Yeah, hopefully they answer some questions regarding Kuvira, one doesn't turn to Fascism just because it's fun.
And while it IS fun, the next episode better pour something resembling a heartbeat into her.
That hug was a baby step in the right direction
but we'll see.

Yeah true enough. He's probably the only person on the show she hasn't tried to talk down to or intimidate, must be some kind of reason for it. Though they did more or less set up how he's going to get "P'li'd"

Satsuki Kiryuin's fascism was great. Everytime she did that heel click and talked down to everyone from above with lights appearing in the background without any discernible source, I loved it.

Kuvira should have had those kinds of speeches.

And she still managed to be a fairly complex character while being a fascist misanthrope.

Kuvira could take some notes.

Yes but that's besides the point.

Fascism can be fun if played totally straight good vs evil kinda way, but as we've seen already in this show that's not what they're going for. Dumb BRYKE.
Hmmm...you like Depeche Mode then...I'll see what I can send you. Yeah stuff like that can be fun if being played straight, or even for laughs. Seriously when Korra is done you should watch Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, it's pretty good.

Epic
Oh I loved Satsuki and he heel clicking moments, she was the breakout character of the show. It was all for a reason too. Regarding her light it's most likely hereditary since her mom practically shits rainbows.

At least they felt something, unlike Unalaq. How is Fascism fun? Is this your favorite song?

I dunno Unalaq seemed pretty dedicated to Vaatu to me and they even fused together. Which you don't see anyone else doing.
That look of pure happiness.

Yep would be ace to see Kuvira giving a speech of this caliber to her troops before they invade Republic City.

He was mad for power, and that's it.
No, he just wanted closer connections with the spirits. That's what they say even in Tophs antagonist review speech. No one knows why or even what that precisely means, but it wasn't power itself he was after.

Does he mean close in their behavior? Or maybe their way of thinking? Or does he just have identical goals to them? Or does he just mean he wants to be in close physical proximity? Or was his goal to become a spirit and gain an incorporeal body? And why? What would any of those or other suggestions I'm not thinking of even accomplish? Who or what does it benefit? From his fusion with Vaatu, I guess he agrees with him in some way, but fuck if we know what.

In a way, he's like Zaheer. One screams chaos, the other screams spirits, but we never find out what their actual rational for it all is.

I don't really see fanart as being that different from when people in this thread propose alternate ways that the story in the series could have gone. Everyone brings their own interpretation to the table. Some people do it in text, other people do it visually.

I wouldn't mind more fanart posts, but I know that can get out of hand... It's been ages since I've gone looking for fanart anywhere that isn't pixiv. Not sure if there's much Korra stuff on pixiv, either, since that site's Japanese.

You had to know that was coming. Lol
I got this as a retort, which is what the bulk of us bitch about here actually.
Facebook Guy said:
"look at it like this, what makes korra and the series before it so great is that they don't explain everything in detail. Some facts might drag the story or would best be told at a later date. Imagine if they explained to origin of bending/avatar in the original series? Half of the zahir arc wouldn't exist."

He's wrong.

The general set-up of the world doesn't need much explanation, but how the world changes through the character's actions do.

There's worse? Thank god I don't like any of the shows with the crazy fanbases then.

Look at it this way: I could have argued with any one of you all yesterday over why I much prefer Korra to pretty much all anime. But I didn't, because nothing productive would come from that discussion; we'd all just be bringing up our subjective opinions and comparing various supernatural fairy tales. I just accepted that most folks wouldn't agree with my stance and went about my day. We're all here enjoying the show more or less and that's all that really matters. There was a cool discussion about the merits of HxH and YYH as a result, independent of tearing down Korra to uplift those animes.

When it comes to fundamentally subjective topics, it generally works best to look for what you both agree on. it'll go much better than regarding a different opinion as an enemy that must be beaten down and destroyed.

It also doesn't help to regard an entire fanbase as crazy based on the opinions of a few. A lot of good stuff comes out of the Korra fandom. Every group has its extremes.

Was he as obsessed with Vaatu like Zaheer was with his mentor? i can't remember

Why the fuck and I'm having argument on facebook with somebody regarding this fucking show? This god damn fanbase at times, holy shit!!!

@ bold: Well you fucked up big time right here.

I know not every part of the fanbase is insane, sometimes it just annoys me when I have to have some huge ass debate over a small criticism or a difference of opinion. The fanbase gives us fanart...both good...and um...questionable.

Yeah I know. I have to remember that there isn't as intelligent and open to discussion as here.

Seriously. -_-
Yeah growing's a pain in the ass. More money more responsibility and for the most part more old people that aren't your parents telling you what to do. And depending on age you can't even look at your parents that fondly because you realize they're assholes. At least as a kid everything is a lot simpler.

I finished my university term last week. This week, the department went on a drunken bender at a posh manor.

I have literally just arrived home. I am fucking exhausted. How's KorraGAF?

I'd like to think that he had been in contact with Vaatu since one of the portals was opened, and it had been corrupting his mind.

My finals are about a month away, screw you guys.
