COD:AW must have done really well digitally to have outsold Destiny because we know from NPD thread it was less than 4.5 million. And we knew from before that Destiny was around 9 million (or was it 9 million unique users? Can't remember exactly...).

I could be missing something here, though.

Jeah but CoD is on a decline and after the not really good reviews of destiny and everything around it I don't think Destiny will be such a huge success for the years to come.

Activision are marketing geniuses. They know that this industry is fueled off of straight hype. So they pour millions of money into advertisements, and it works extremely well for them.

Yes, but a lot of people also really like those games.

Thats some decline. And doesn't matter what reviews have been for Destiny; people are enjoying the game.

The games are actually pretty good, though (yes, even Destiny with all its problems).

Well congrats Activision !

I didn't dig Destiny as much as i thought i would but a lot of my friends love it and are still playing it hardcore.

COD AW on the other hand, i love it ! playing it on a regular basis. Love the multiplayer and mobility... Glad i bought it !

As a multiplayer guy, Destiny was not my cup of tea trading kills and getting cheap insta deaths from super abilities. CoD:AW, while not perfect, was a much better multiplayer experience for me.

Glad both are doing well. COD:AW died out for me but still going strong in Destiny.

Easy games to pick up and play. I can play either game for 30 minutes if that is all I got. Some of these other games that have higher production values (all opinion won't get into it) demand a longer period of gaming that some people might not have.

Also I need COD to keep Doritios/Mountain Dew around.

Am I a bad person for wanting Rockstar to release a new game in November just to screw with this record?

That's the boat I'm in, too. I can't garner the motivation to go back to Destiny, but I get texts from my friends about how much fun they're having. Eh.

And here I am playing broken TMCC and CODAW.

The next version of COD will continue its sales decline, and I honestly expect Destiny 2 to sell significantly less as well.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!

Wouldn't that be a WW total, though?

Say what you want about Activision, but they know how to sell their products.

Even with the Call of Duty IP probably dying a very slow death they still have Skylanders and Destiny. There is no way to stop these guys from making billions.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

Are you sure ? Cant see Black Ops 3 selling less if it hits next year. It should be the next game right ?
