There was little defending needed in some of those goals. He smashed the balls from miles away and they just flew in because he's Messi. And pls, he dribbles past 4-5 of the best that Loliga and the Champions League has to offer.

I honestly thought Neuer posts were a joke at first. He's just barely the best keeper in the world. He's not even close to being the best player.
I can understand people being bored of Messi and Ronaldo winning it year after year but that doesn't mean someone who doesn't deserve it has to win it.

Neuer would be my choice. But Ronaldo will win. I mean he can score 4 goals against Levante or whatever but sucked in all important games last year. Totally awesome that guy. Without him Real Madrid would have lost the CL final and man that amazing freekick against germany in the WC.

I voted for Neuer, he is a sensational keeper and brilliant all round but particularly in one on one situations. His heroics at the World Cup were fantastic and he played well for Bayern too.
I do think Ronaldo will win it though as throughout the year he has moved ahead of Messi and has consistently scored goals. If he keeps his current rate of scoring up he could break records for the most goals scored in a season.

Ronaldo will obviously win it. He was the driving force behind Real Madrid's CL campaign. He absolutely annihilated Messi's previous record in the CL as well. Not to mention he's been extremely clinical the whole year. He's just been phenomenal.
On the other hand you have Neuer, but as he's a GK I'll give him minimal chance of winning. It's just how it works. Messi was average before the start of this season. He was actually booed by his own fans at some point. He looked very very delusional. Even at the WC, where he was voted best, he wasn't on his level. In the past few weeks (irrelevant for the Ballon d'Or), he's been great though. So, he's on the way back to former greatness.
All in all, there shouldn't be a single doubt. Ronaldo was the best, by far. Actually, Robben would have deserved it more than Messi/Neuer IMO. But hey, Robben didn't have a media campaign behind him

Alrite lads, I'm off for the night. Been good entertainment tonight both with reading the posts of some Ronaldo fans here whilst simultaneously watching Messi ripping Atletico Madrid a new one with two assists and a goal. Shame Ronaldo couldn't do that last week when he got his ass handed to him by them.
