maybe the hacker got access to twitter and youtube, and opened up microsoft word and made those documents. no way the army runs their security like sony

Most of the things I see there *hardly* look like top secret. Official addresses are generally easy to obtain etc. They probably just grabbed a bunch of powerpoints from god knows where and passed the slides as STUFFS FROM THE HACKED NETWERKS.

Yep. Digging deeper reveals that the information posted so far is all publicly available already. I don't think they actually have anything but Twitter/YouTube.

Lealed Pentagon China war plans, NK war plans, who knows what's next.

I screenshotted all of them & saved the war plan photos, not fooling around with those addresses.

This is scary as I live in Tampa with MacDill (CENTCOM) not far away

Print out the images and tape them to your wall just to be safe.

Somehow I doubt that war plans are powerpoint docs.

I'm doubting that they have anything damaging, but I'm not doubting that it's a shitty PR situation.

Let's no all go crazy just yet. Sure, this is bad, but hacking twitter is very different from gaining access to classified information from Central Command.

What they've posted so far could be publicly available. We just don't know yet.

My first thought, too. When crap like this happens, the guy managing the account usually just used an embarrassingly easy to guess password, or reused a password across insecure accounts.

Bam.

IS just hacked the social channels and now is spreading shitty pictures from random sites and public information as hacked files. It's highly embarrassing, but it's not like they actually hacked anything else besides Twitter and the like.

Are we even sure it is IS and not some random douchenozzle? Also, the above link doesn't explain the address list.

Also, I have to believe that all of the very critical information is on a network that isn't accessible to the broader internet (as in, isn't even physically connected to it). I can't imagine why they'd have anything super important on computers hooked up the public internet.

A quick reverse image search shows that some (if not all) of those pctures were already in the public domain.

Oh, and don't forget to wrap your head in tinfoil.

yes it looks like they hacked personal files and posted them using the US GOVT twitter...the first part is more alarming.

I wonder if Anon will step in now like they claimed they would..

Whats anon done recently? always see people saying they havent done much since lulsec

Guys it seems really easy to hack the Pentagon. They even have a handy website title public intelligence to make it easier.

edit: I know I was quoted but still feel iffy about posting it, even if its public.

Why would they post public info? That's stupid.

Because facts don't matter when you only aim for propaganda.

Yeah, that's another thing. As for the addresses, you can easily find that kind of data with some very minor legwork. They aren't posting their home directions as far as I can see, only official contact details with their offices.

Good, now you have screenshots of fake/publicly available war plans.

Account suspended. Wow @ the shit that was on there.

And those don't look like "war plans" more like "here's where the shit is in these countries" maps.

Man, I thought ISIS was actually revealing real secrets. They are just tweeting out already public info? Fucking got excited for nothing. Fuck ISIS.

It seems like we get hacked every other day. Our cybergame is lacking. We need to poach some talent overseas, because we don't seem to be getting it done over here.

1.) Twitter account was hacked, no immediate proof of sensitive Govt info being stolen.

2.) Most if not all the information posted has been or currently is in the public domain.

I can't wait to have to explain this to people repeatedly.

Why would US Central Command have a Twitter in the first place? Seems pretty dangerous.

What if the dude managing it gets drunk and posts styff.

they're hacking social media accounts, not actual pentagon databases

social media outreach, it's why they've also got a facebook page
