If you're in The United States of America don't count on it. They've had a beef since the original 3DS and don't normally sell their Hardware anymore.

Has it been confirmed that they won't release the regular sized N3DS at all in NA?

I don't mind waiting for it to come out but if they're just going to scrap it then I don't think I want to support that decision even with the purchase of the N3DS XL.

Go to Nintendo.com. No mention of even the OG standard sized model. Just the old XL, new XL, and 2DS.

It's obvious I'm in the minority on GAF though, and people are lining up to get one. I'm sure they will all be happy, but I for one am not supporting this.

Yeah, the exclusion of the AC adapter is lame and the fact that they're only releasing the XL is upsetting but understandable considering the sales of the old 3DS XL in the U.S., but geez do some people need to get some perspective.

You'll still be able to play all of your 3DS games and (most) upcoming releases on your "old" 3DS model, and your life will go on without a 3DS that has cute changeable faceplates. As for the AC adapter, you can either buy a new one for $8 or whatever, or just not buy the adapter or the system at all!!!

If people don't have a 3DS charger by now, that means they didn't plan for this (short sighted) or don't own a previous DS/3DS. In that case it's not Nintendo's fault, and it really should be something more like $50 with $10 of that going to the World Wildlife Foundation.

In addition to my Nintendo AC adapters (I have 3 or so), I actually bought an extra charger from GameStop because theirs is USB. So I can charge my XL when using my computer if need be.

Regardless, I still find it silly to not include an AC adapter with the systems.

You guys do know that the confusion/hassle when it comes to trading an old model in and/or buying an AC adapter separately wouldn't have happened if Nintendo simply included it in the box and made the system (say) $215 right?

It's stupid because Nintendo could have gotten MORE money while at the same time making people not have to feel like they are going through a hassle just to make sure they have something that will give power to the device.

In no way was this a smart decision. It's stupid.

Unbelievable. NoA is just... unbelievable. I went XL the first time around, but I wasn't really impressed with the bulk. I was also pretty psyched for faceplates. Nintendo won't be getting my money until they offer me a product I'm interested in. I guess there's some hope, since they bothered putting "XL" in the title. If it wasn't there it'd be pretty damning that it's the only version the US is ever getting. Just unbelievable.

I went to my local GameStop to try and pre-order the Majora's Mask edition and had no luck, so I pre-ordered black instead.

I come home and see online people are saying that the SKU's are so new in their system and to have the associate double check that you get the right color. I hope my guy got mine right for the black one. My receipt just says "Available SKU #2."
