Honestly, I think people who get excited over anything and then get upset and outraged when their expectations are not met just deserve to waste their time and look dumb on the internet. I have no interest in telling people how they should think. I don't know what the announcement was going to be. It could have been something interesting to RPG fans, it could have been something lame, it could have been anything really.
