FFXV needs to feel alive. Hype could get bigger once there are gameplay impressions of demo and Japanese release.
Persona 5 doesn't have gameplay impressions or a release date, but fans can easily trust Atlus for delivering the game in a timely manner after its proper reveal. At least I haven't experienced them taking 8 years on one game after it was shown...

art direction looks hnnnggggg, lol at the 2 identical models almost side by side at the end of the gif.
That's why I find this studio superbly talented, their games aren't groundbreaking tech-wise. but the art direction of their games is so good that it more than makes up for it.
And Persona games ever since 3 had awesome UI designs, it's nothing new

Looks like Catherine, i'm ok with that. I understand it's a PS3 game, so was never really expecting much on PS4.

Yeah, it's fairly noticeable. The criminal element helps this too.
My only complaint would be that this setup is ridiculously close to the Seven Deadly Sins manga by Suzuki Nakaba which is very popular right now. Even the first 3 sins are in the initial cast is the same, lol

MC having red eyes and symbolising wrath makes sense right now. The others not so much.

Woowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I wish it wasn't another high school setting, but this game looks fantastic.
A few thoughts (that might have been addressed, didn't read 60+ pages yet):
- Looks like the Catherine game engine?
- Aesthetically it reminds me of 1960's concept art, especially that subway scene...the color palette, and the way people seem to be sort of painted sketches
- The menu/graphic design is so so good
- Action sequences? Is this their answer to FF15? I'm down.
- Looks like no more shadow blobs, we actually get to see what enemies we fight before we fight them!
- The main menu had "Cooperation" and "Mission" items, hmmmmm! Is Cooperation a new multiplayer element? Are missions selectable instead of story-driven?
- So guns are the MC's weapon?
- Thematically I get the impression that P5 will be about the drudgery and alienation of society causing anxiety and mental issues. Hence the depiction of salarymen, or the sequence where the train operator is freaking out
- Is that cafe the one from Catherine?? Looks similar!

It's hard to not notice it considering it has a popular anime, manga and has a big marketing blitz in general, lol.
They're pretty surface level tropes in P3 where it's more blaring that it's a trope in P4, IMO.

god that trailer is so fukken cool. I'm not even that into Persona, I think it's always been a middling RPG series(the entire catalogue -- not just 3 and 4), but I'm super hyped for this game now. They've always been the best in the business at making shit look stylish I suppose!
