The battle scene in the trailer with the all out attack and formation(They are at 4 corners of the enemy, like in persona 3-4) looks turn based.

It would at home or somewhere with a stable internet connection but i mostly played P4G on the bus to uni.
Really pumped, game looks fantastic from what we've seen. Kind of meh on the characters designs so far though.
Their combat personas(hur hur) look really great and have a lot of personality due to the masks and such which are awesome, but their every day appearances and designs are rather bland compared to past games. Especially the MC with his ugly mock turtleneck and what the fuck glasses, but I guess they could be going for that mild manner Clark Kent bs. They're not bad, but they don't grab me like previous characters have, P3 for me was the pinnacle of character designs(P2 a close second), even P4 was kind of lacking on that end at times. Also I hate cats, but I'll try and reserve judgement. I mean did like Teddie.
Anyone think there any significance to the chevons on the MC's neck or the #2 pin he wears?

It's interesting that in SMT3 and P3, Atlus removed the gun weapons from the respective series, but in SMT4 and P5, they've brought guns back as weapons with their own equip slot. Maybe they're.... gunning for their fanbase?
I actually felt a cool breeze and imagined a hay wheel rolling in the back ground when I read that last line.
This trailer is epic. I love that music. The wife already ask me to play a different tune.

We are finally on Blue-Ray all-round so it should be easy enough now, I think the localization was probably the best I've encountered in P4 but i'd still prefer the original cast

So that Persona right before the title card is MCs correct?
If we are right in assuming he's wrath, that would correspond to Satan. The wings and horns seem to fit with that.

Random speculation warning:
I wouldn't be surprised if the MC is a legit thief before the persona business(or maybe during). It looks like the scene at the beginning of the trailer takes place before he even gets a persona, and at the end of the scene a spotlight gets shone on him like he gets caught. I heard something about the school in the game maybe being a juvenile center from someone, and that would fit if that's the case.

I only got into the series recently, I played P3 FES and liked it but didn't love it though I did understand the hype somewhat. Then I played P4 and it clicked with me, then I got P4G and am fully on board with the hype.

Definitely excited for this one. Golden turned me into a huge Persona fan. Along with The Order, Bloodborne, and Uncharted 4, Persona 5 is my most anticipated game of 2015.

I admit I'm bummed that there's no Vita version announced yet. I sunk about 138 hours into Persona 4 Golden during my commute to work. Sunk about 195 hours into P3P on my Vita as well.
Even so, I'll be snagging it on PS4 day 1, and if it comes to Vita in the future, I'll double dip.

There is no chance this is happening but I want it so much.
Got that feeling myself and that screenshot along with the original teaser feels like the moment the MC gets his persona or something like that. Don't know how that fits into the other scene though where the MC is imprisoned in the velvet room though.

Ah okay, I haven't played P4A, interesting. Still, if he's just a literal thief and there's no thematic/philosophical tie-in to this, I'd be surprised.
Space wouldn't be the problem so much as them wanting to discourage reverse importing. P4A received dual-audio at the price of the game being the only retail PS3 game to be region-locked, whereas P4AU was region-free but only had dual-audio for battle voices. Personally, I'm not expecting anything other than an English-only dub for the US release, but given the quality of their work in the past, I would be fine with that.

BTW, I haven't played P4 yet but one of the things that annoys me about P3 is that the MC just can't be "friends" with members of opposite genders who represent certain Arcanas to max out the relationship link level.
I felt like a cheating jerk. I do hope P5 does allow for platonic friendship to thrive (should such link level mini-game exists, which in all likelihood, will).

maaan..the atmosphere is so thick here.
Also ,love the clothing on the characters.They all seem uniquely fashionable.
Persona 4 and Persona 3 Portable allow for platonic relationships.
Persona 4 allows you to friendzone female social links.

they do...and persona 4 golden punishes you heavily with the feels if you try to be a playa...the regret I felt for wanting to see all the romance scenes

The shot of what we assume is the MC but seriously, seriously looks like Vincent chained up in a cell is still making me scratch my head. The MC is the MC. Why would he be confined like that? That's not just temporary; he's got the outfit and everything. Viewing a plot event with the MC alone while 100% in the third-person is not typical for Persona. I will continue to desperately hang on to my conspiracy theory I've had for years from Catherine that Vincent ended up a Persona user, actual Persona, or Velvet Room visitor after his "intellectual awakening" but failure to overcome in the trio of Bad Endings.

That trailer was pretty damn good. The style of the game looks great.
It's the velvet room. The place you're teleported in out and of, though in 3 and 4 Igor was nice enough to let you sit down comfortably.
I've always wondered about what the Japanese forum boards are like with this stuff.
