If it's actually adult Spidey as rumoured, Jake Gyllenhaal or Joseph Gordon-Lewitt. Grant Gustin would also be one of my top choices but he might be off-limits due to his involvement in The Flash.
Man, Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be perfect as an older Peter

i've been begging for over 5 years.
I don't care in the slightest. As long as the script is good an unknown could pull it off.

Captain Pants

Killed by a goddamned Dredgeling
Someone who can do quick wit and isn't white.

I feel like wading into this will only go bad, as people will mistake me for one of those people that takes to twitter and gets all pissed off when a previously white character is now black. That's not me at all. I'm just curious. I don't see anyone clamoring for an Indian Superman or an asian Batman. Why in particular are so many people wanting a black Peter Parker? It makes no difference to me, I just don't see similar calls for black actors when any other comic character casting is being discussed.

Go with an older Spidey. It's time for Jensen Ackles to get in on this.

He would actually be a great Spider-Man. An older, world weary type who can still crack humor.

And he's actually a way better actor than one would think. A little cornball at times, but he sells the humor and drama on Supernatural earnestly.

Are they seriously going to do another fucking reboot? This shit is getting out of hand. It is so stupid. We have to see Peter Parker realize he is Spider-Man yet again? Three times!?!

Anybody denying Donald Glover can EAD as far as I'm concerned. Dude wants it and isn't a bad actor and is legit funny. Anyone saying he isn't bankable is pretty mad as well since tons of no name white actors have been thrown around in the thread so far that have even less bank ability than the guy from Community.

Mix it up brehs is all I'm saying.

Gordon-Levitt and Gyllenhaal are great choices but they're pushing it age-wise imo. Spiderman is supposed to be youthful and snarky, I have no interest in seeing him middle-aged.

pls no random black Spider-Man to be unique and trendy. Just give me traditional Peter Parker.

Sorry you think black people are a trend.

Spider-Man is faceless and could be anyone under the mask is most of the reason. It's not like Marvel is against making a different variation of Spider-Man. There's Miles Morales and they tried an Indian variation a few years ago.

It also plays into the whole outcast role. Being a nerdy white guy isn't as much of a social outcast role as it was 50 years ago.

Donald Glover does nothing for me when I think of him as Spidey. Nothing at all. Also..couldn't care less about race.

If they're going for a seasoned Spidey...Jake would smash the role. He'd have no problem teetering the geek/confident role.

Also...I'm sure he'd make Spidey a little more dark. Like you know he's been through some battles.

I doubt we're getting a origin story. Chances are he'll appear in one of the other films and then go from there with his solo film
