Oh boy, MORE choices. As if I wasn't indecisive enough as it is... What's the difference between this and the new HRAP4 Kai? From the pictures, they look pretty much identical aside from the colors. Seems odd that the Kai would come out so close to the V5 stick.
 
The big differences are that the Kai has the stick spaced further to the left, and the colors. The extra spacing is nice, but other than that, no clue.

That's the thing about the TE2s, which makes me nervous about that being the case, for me at least. Not having a physical L3/R3. or touchpad button might be an annoyance for some games, especially if you spend a lot of time in training modes like I do. I'm sure they won't be absolutely critical, but if any upcoming fighter make speical use of any of these, the TE2 has no support for them at all. Even right out of the gate,the TE2s can't use the touchpad click for quick screen reset in Injustice. Old game, but one I still like to mess around with in training so it's an annoyance for me.
 
Hi. I'm enjoying Guilty Gear Xrd, but the PS3 pad sucks and I don't want to plop down $200 for a TE2. What are my options? I live in Canada.

TBH you might want to wait a bit longer until there's some sort of tourney madcatz sale and import from the US even with our shitty dollar.
There's not a lot available on our side of the border at the moment.

And I think Future Shop randomly carries hori sticks, but they're pricey.

There's also some cheaper PS3/PS4 sticks coming out on the market in a few months from hori and mayflash.

What do you guys think? I plan on using art's hobbies and i'm worried about the sprites looking terrible when printed out.
 
man i really hope they ship my fightstick before mk comes out on april. I already missed out on GGxrd cause i can't play without a stick. Don't wanna be late for MK and USFIV.
 
Just got my Fighting Commander 4 (Ebay from JP)

OMG
This is the controller that I've been waiting for all my life. I can finally play GGXrd. Love how you can adjust the pad sensitivity, etc.

I have the Hori PS4/3 stick and I utterly suck at it, can't even do a dragon punch motion reliably (yes, this is how I suck with it).
 
Managed to get a hrap v locked in with amiami. Hopefully shipping isn't too much since they didn't give a price.

Soon I'll finally be able to play some GGXrd

Not sure how hard it is to find. It's just that I have a PS4 and will need a stick eventually. I thought about making you an offer. But I have a MCZ TE2 preordered and I'm not sure about the Hori stick and buttons compared to Sanwa parts since I've never used them before.
 
I ordered TTT2 Madcatz Tournament Edition S for Wii U. :D

This is one of the most expensive purchase in my life.

But I'm gonna use this with Titan one adapter, which allow you to connect Wii controllers on PS4/XBONE.

Is $200 beyond the realm of reason for a Fighting Edge? They're still available new.

Are you outside the US?

200 for the Fighting edge is well worth it.
 
Focus Attack cracks me up. I ordered six buttons from them a month ago, and they came stuffed into a padded envelope. I ordered two buttons a few days ago, and they came bundled in newspaper inside a thick cardboard box.

Hm, OK. I ordered one set of buttons from them, but it was a few years ago. I didn't know if they went bad or something recently like Lizard Lick. I would just be concerned about them packing them loose together where the connectors scratch the buttons up. If I recall they came in a spacer carton thing.
 
Been playing a lot of Wii VC Arcade titles
anyone has or knows where to get a Tekken Wii U Fightstick?

I remember them being $50 at the Madcatz store but missed the sale. =/
 
My local futureshop had like 5 ki te lol

this is actually the first time im seeing sticks physically in store.

And from the looks of it those sticks were from the xbox launch lol

Has anyone swapped out the buttons for new Sanwa transparent buttons in the guilty gear xrd stick?

I noticed the new buttons are very loose and shifting around (vertically) a bit. They are the same model buttons (30mm), just transparent .

I'm waiting for the LED board to arrive and hoping that secures them better once installed. But not sure that will work (never installed a LED board before)

Wondering if anyone has had a similar issue? Really strange.

Does the xrd stick have the clear rings under the buttons like the te2? If so you need to use them. See if they are still on your old buttons.

Edit: the LED board does not secure the buttons in place in any way.

Yeah, FE is very large, but a lot thinner than the vlx, and has a wider base so you have more space to rest your palm. It's also a helluva lot lighter than a VLX if you're planning to travel with it. Taking a VLX to tourneys is a workout.

I think the vlx is great if you have a sit down setup or can play on a table. Fightingedge is better for playing in your lap.
