Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

In other news I FINALLY started playing A Link Between Worlds! It was literally loaded on my console when I bought it lol

I don't know what took me so long but dam is it a great Zelda game (like there's even a bad Zelda game)
 
So I have King Dedede, Sonic, Mega Man, and IKE pre ordered from GameStop. Suddenly King and IKE are gone from my reservations list both on the phone app and website. Should I be concerned? I pre-ordered these in store.
 
So, crazy day at the office and I'm way behind on the thread.

Got an email today from best buy confirming 2-20 for Meta Knight. Not sure if others have as well.

Have we heard any more news about Ike/Mega Man/Sonic from Best Buy/TRU/Target/Gamestop?

Also picked up Shulk today. Yay :)

But hey,awesome! That game is fantastic, even if it is super derivative of Link to the Past, and the Item Rental system is pretty weak (though conceptually a neat idea.)

Great soundtrack, too. You're gonna love it!

Hey, with potentially only 5 on the line, I wouldn't say that's too hard to fathom, if you're serious about getting one. Camp out, and bundle up!

Lol no no, just that I got a call from a friend about this this afternoon lol making sure your not him in disguise... Idk if he has a gaf account or not...
 
Annnnnd my Play Asia Shulk is basically cancelled. I was a day too late for the initial preorder and literally a second too late for today's preorder. My main, and I have zero chance of getting him now.

The salt is flowing strong right now, but seriously, fuck the scalpers, and even moreso, fuck all the "collectors" that are letting these things gather dust in boxes.

Some of us just want to use them, you know?

Nope TN! But I find it funny that your friend and I share being huge Zelda fans and My friend and you share being huge Megaman fans.... Thats kinda funny :). Which made me wonder more about the coincidence...
Or we just have good taste in friends... Whichever comes first ;)
 
I'm probably not going to be getting my Sonic or Mega Man amiibos. New Egg is out of stock on it and they said they are trying to secure more shipments.

That has absolutely bummed me out. I was really looking forward to getting Sonic and Mega Man.

Haha, such a funny coincidence! Guess it definitely wasn't you, though part of me was kinda hoping it was, because that woulda been hilarious and awesome!

Ah well, you're all the way in TN, and we seem to have had similar situations surrounding the MM 3DS, so I hope it works out great for all parties!

I thought the movie would be pretty bad just from the previews. Some love Mila Kunis, but I don't think she's that great of an actress so the film already had a strike against it.

That happened on their website with Toon Link as well. It said available for store pick-up, but you received an error every time you tried to add it to cart. It meant that they actually had some stock available in store. I remember going to a store that showed in stock online and after I bought Toon Link there, the site changed to available in 3-5 days. You could never actually reserve it.

Sonic and Megaman are going to be relatively easy to find. They're going to be the commons over DeDeDe and Ike.
 
Just saw on the news that 29 west coast seaports in the US will be shutdown for a few days for the dockworker negotiations. Doesn't look like the stock situation will improve any time soon. :(
