Kylie Minogue is underappreciated

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
She's been in the game for decades, one of the few singers with true longevity but she doesn't get mentioned all that often like the other successful singers on her level (of which there are few). I guess it's because she never quite smashed in North America even though she's well known in the rest of the world? Her tours do well and she shows no signs of becoming a legacy act.

She's gorgeous and a well known sweetheart, probably one of the nicest celebrities around. I mean, this woman BEAT cancer, straight up kicked it's ass! She's an inspiration tbh.

Just some of her classic hits, including probably her most well known one, Can't Get You Out of my Head

Slow

In My Arms

Get Outta My Way

Love At First Sight

Heartbeat Rock

In Your Eyes

Kylie was lucky enough to meet the Queen. Or rather, the Queen was lucky to meet Kylie lbh:

Kylie has a new post-Kiss Me Once single with Giorgio Morodor, called Right Here Right Now. Amazing. Does she even have a single bad video? Her videography is rivaled only by Madonna.

One of the pillars of pop music IMO. Fad pop starlets and singers come and go but Kylie is still here after all this time, doing her thing :)

Often imitated. Never duplicated.

A thread of Kylie being unappreciated that's decorated with the most transparent "I just wikied an artist" list of songs in recent memory.

"Why Kylie Minogue could have the perfect legs"

Scientists have discovered the secret to the perfect pair of legs - an extra five per cent.

Research found that the average woman - at around 5ft 4in tall with an inside leg measurement of 29in - would need shapely 30.5in legs to reach perfection.

However, very long legs are not necessarily better because the study also showed that those with an extra 10 per cent were actually rated as less attractive.

The findings could explain the sex appeal of stars such as Kylie Minogue, the singer, who despite being only 5ft tall, has topped polls of the "best celebrity legs".

Although her legs are petite, they are proportionally long compared with her small frame. It could also explain why women often choose to wear high heels, giving the illusion of longer limbs.

Polish researchers at Wroclaw University asked 218 male and female volunteers to rate, in order of attractiveness, seven silhouettes of a man and woman.

Although the images were the same height, each had different leg lengths. The most attractive were judged to be those with legs that were five per cent longer than average.

The average British man, at 5ft 10in with an inside leg measurement of 31in, should have an inside leg measuring 32.5in.

Dr Boguslaw Pawlowski, who led the study, said that long legs signal health.

He said that short legs are linked with a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and type II diabetes and with higher levels of a body fat called triglyceride, which is linked to the clogging of the arteries, heart disease, strokes and insulin resistance in men.

Although the study, reported in New Scientist, was limited to Polish people, Dr Pawlowski suspects the results would apply across most Western cultures.

She won me forever with Love At First Sight.

I love Kylie and her discography is amazing. Kiss Me Once was so underrated; Fine, Kiss Me Once, Into the Blue, If Only, Sexcersize, and the unstoppable Sparks (some bonus track on one of the versions)...when will anybody? Nobody serves that ethereal coo like she does.

I think that's what typically runs through my head when someone mentions her name. I have a feeling that's the case for many people in the U.S. in particular.

The true Queen of Pop, as far as I'm concerned. Completely dedicated to her craft, her discography is absolute Pop confection of the finest, most delicate quality, and her stage shows are unrivaled by all but MJ and Madonna in their production values and Kylie's own indomitable charisma and bubbliness.

OP, why no mention of her greatest song: The Locomotion?

I've always loved a bit of Kylie, ever since she was in Neighbours.

Eek, Locomotion is actually my least favorite Kylie single/video!

Agreed. Kiss Me Once is cute, but I sadly didn't love it. It wasn't as strong as the incredibly flawless 5 consecutive slay albums that preceded it:

Light Years - Fever - Body Language - X - Aphrodite

Cupid Boy

All the Lovers

I Believe in You

Time Bomb

Speakerphone

Cherry Bomb

She also has had some interesting collaborations and some of the best remixes. Confide In Me has some good examples.

This woman has way too much music I love.

Even Madonna knows the tea:

Mhmmm. I mean it was Madonna and Kylie that really got me into music/pop. Like, when they were trying to push Britney as Madge's successor around the time of ITZ, I thought, why bother? We have Kylie

Agreed. Her collaborations are great

I actually got a chance to meet Kylie briefly and she was just very sweet and incredibly down to earth. She went out of her way to show her fans some love staying almost an hour just talking to them and taking pictures. Didn't seem forced either.

Anyways, after that I kinda got curious to hear her stuff beyond "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and was pleasently surprised at how strong a lot of her discography is.

I think my definite favorite is "I Believe In You" though. Something really magical about that song.

YES she is wonderful!

Being an Aussie, I grew up with her music, so I associate a lot of good memories with her tunes.

YES! One of my all-time favorites. Song just makes you feel warm, like Kylie's your fairy godmother getting you through finals week.

I remember watching Red Blooded Woman in MTV.
Video was amazing 10 years ago, it still is now. I don't particularly like Kylie but that song is great.
