Metal Gear Solid V Day one and Collectors editions announced

Got one! Finally can get that lifted off, did not want to resort to scalpers.

I will keep my Amazon one till I secure a Best Buy one otherwise I will cancel to open up another as well!

That steelbook art is pretty half-assed. Hopefully that's not the final version. I went ahead and preordered just in case, but I'm really not sold on this CE yet.
 
Glad they added more. After the numerous Nintendo preorder disasters this year, I was about ready to go on a murder-spree of resellers if it happened to me again.

I hope that included video disc is as good as the one that came with MGS4.
 
Is there anyway I can get the collectors edition of this in store for best buy when they put it online? I want to take advantage of my GCU but I want it the day of as soon as possible.

If its already sold, ebay won't do anything unless the buyer decides to cancel. That is Ebays rule, but in reality its only enforced when somebody reports it.

Other sellers are much more likely to report it than the person who bought it tbh.

After missing out on the initial wave I was thinking that I needed to back off of my CE purchases and just stick with regular edition games but I caved for this quick. Although since it's Amazon I can always change my mind later and go with the regular one since I should be saving money...
 
the CE doesn't seem like it'll be that limited, but that's just my opinion. It's not super expensive. But who knows but Konami I guess.
 
Excellent, got my Amazon CE in. Thanks for being on the ball while I was at work Gaf. I have this urge to buy extras to sell at cost after the scalpers have all got their orders in. I'm conflicted though, I wouldn't have a concrete way of making sure I wasn't taking it from one scalper just to sell to another and I don't want to take copies away from legitimate buyers.

I'm not interested in profit from something like that, I don't know, what would you guys do?
 
Called my local Gamestop and they're taking pre-orders now. Should I pre-order there just in case? I already got my copy through amazon, but you know, paranoid about it getting canceled due to limited supply or something.
 
It's interesting to me that they're not doing CEs for PS3 and Xbox 360. Has this been happening with other franchises and I've just not been paying attention? Are they thinking that likely buyers of a CE have moved on to next gen? Are they not expecting to sell as much on the older platforms? Some other reason?
