No one is worse than this guy from "Berserk". Don't really want to mention his name just so you can experience what leads up to the "Eclipse"

I can't see how anyone places Meurem above Neferpitou. I mean Meurem was powerful but he really didn't do anything "OMG this guy is just evil!" He was mostly a spoiled brat. Neferpitou was psychologically breaking kids down and shit on some "I'm going to destroy someone you grew to love then bring him back and have him beat your ass then promise you to restore him only to be like...I can't lololol deal with it!" kind of way.

Seeing her
get completely curbstomped by Gon was really satisfying
.

I just really love the direction they took Meurem. Nerferpitou was awesome too, for other reasons.

Dio, from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. He's a complete douchebag with no redeeming qualities (apart from his fabulousness) - he's pretty much pure evil but he's extremely entertaining nonetheless. His Stand,
The World
, is my favourite Stand in the whole series too (well, technically
Star Platinum: The World is the same stand I guess so it's a toss up between the two
). The ability to
stop time is just too damn cool, as is the way he uses this power
.

Yup, this guy too. Such an asshole, burned a dog alive just because Jonathan punched him a bit, became a vampire just cuz, and more or less tried his best to destroy the Joestar bloodline just because he wanted some money and power.

OP starts off with naruto crap? And then somebody mentions Aizen? Jesus what the hell people. Thank god other posters started mentioning Dio, Char, Pierrot Le Fou, and Hisoka.

Having finally read a good part of HxH...I don't see why Hisoka gets mentioned as villain so often.

Is he a cruel, twisted and possibly paedophile bastard? Definitely, Hisoka is totally off the rails.

But...that's it. There's no bigger motivation or plan than "I want to have fun" behind anything he does, no intention to rule the planet or destroy it or something. It even goes as far that he helps Gon & Co. when he's bored. I'd call him an antagonist rather than villain.

The closest to an actual villain in HxH are the chimera ants so far.

Half a million people died when they forcefully tried to awaken Nen in humans in order to create soldiers to take over the world. Now THAT'S villainous.

Hands down..............Vicous

I love me some Bebop, but he really isn't anything special, and honestly feels a little out of place in the series because of how much of a cliche villain he looks and acts like.

The crazy, fat assassin guy in Pierrot le Fou was Bebop's best villain.

people love troll characters

What. Are you talking shit about Chris McKenzie?

Also, Char was actually a pretty shitty villain. Tomino sucks.

Nah, I love Chris. But she broke my heart.

Every time I watch 0080, I hope that watch through will be different. But it never is.

I don't care, as I've already read it but you might want to say your post has Part 3 ending spoilers in it, since there are definitely anime only watchers that hang out in OT and they might quote and say "I agree" and then accidentally see something in there.

Jojo's has so many iconic villains it's hard to pick just one, though. Dio is obviously the most classic of them all, but still. They're all great in their own respective ways.

There are definitely anime only watchers that hang out in OT, and we're still 3 months out from the end.

Okay, I added a disclaimer at the top. I thought it was obvious enough that there were spoilers about the ending since I talked about his Stand.

Pierrot episode was one of my favorites of the whole series because of how crazy that dude was. But for me what made Vicious such a great villain was the fact that he was relatable. He grew up with Spike, and gave him everything he had. Meanwhile Spike was heir to a damn mob family, crown prince. which he was fine with. But then Spike had to get his girl too and that broke him. But in a weird way you get to see vicious' true potential cause Spike drove him to it. And you have to remember that while that type of villain may seem a bit Cliche now it really wasn't back then.

Actual answer by me: Father/Dwarf in the flask Homunculus from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Tricks the greedy king of a florishing country into sacrificing one million people just to get a body. Creates an own country for his plan, manipulates all political events for half a millenium from the shadows, causing constant revolutions and wars around the country. Constantly outmanouvers the protagonists. When all conditions for his plan are set he sacrifices FIFTY MILLION of his citizens in order to become a god. Also, his offspring is amazing *-*

Oh and Pariston is also a genius at trolling. Another promising villain.
