BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

Hopefully this is a good place to ask this, but does anyone know exactly how co-op in this game works? Basically, my friend and I are debating about picking this up, but my only experience with the Souls games was an hour or two of Demon's Souls, and I wasn't a fan.

I know you can summon a friend or two to help you in Dark Souls (and DS2?), but that's about it. Looking into it, it sound like you can only invite a friend at certain times; is that the case? Ideally I'd just like to be able to play through the whole game with my friend, but I don't think that was possible in Dark Souls and from the little info I've gathered on Bloodborne, that seems to be the case here as well.

PDIGGY22LIVE is pretty good.

I tuned in for like 2 minutes and he was fighting Gascoigne. He stood behind the geometry and cheesed him and kept bragging about it, and then complaining about the boss "glitching through the environment" when he got hit. Then the boss transformed, started smashing the objects in the environment, Diggy called him a "faggot," and died.

Turned it off immediately.

I talked to someone last night high up the chain in the BB project and they're aware that the biggest complaint is the load times, and the boring loading screen. It's not my place to say whether that will be patched (and if so, when) but it sounded to me like they'll work something out, so that's something.

You ring a bell to call for assistance and players who rang their bell to help can enter your world.

The range where you can summon is really large, and you might encounter times where your buddy spawns in the world with enemies between you and him/her, so you'll have to defeat those enemies to meet up. It's not quite like DS where you find a sign in front of a boss door for a free boss kill. Coop offers the same tactical advantage, but you have to seek out your partner when they join in... And that's if an invader doesn't find you first :O

You can set up games with your friends by using a kind of password that only you know, so you're guaranteed to match each other.

Nice, hopefully something does happen.

Those who playing Bloodborne as we speak, can you answer one question without spoilers ?

How are the NPC stories and interactions?

Downloading the update now. Don't think I've been this excited for a game since Dead Space 2.

Is that the CE? PLease post pictures.

What's the artbook like? The CE steelbook?

I take back all the things I said about this game. It looks amazing and seems to play incredibly well.

It doesn't seem all that difficult though.

Enemies attack very fast and tend to swarm you. It honestly feels more difficult in some ways but you don't have to fight the controls as much as the others because it feels incredibly responsive. It just plays so well.

You have the mechanics down very well.. Quite impressive and actually enjoyable to watch

I'd suggest getting another weapon.. one with better range. Maybe start upgrading other stats unless you want to 'tank' it

Well, I'm more referring to the fact that you can't just walk around a corner and get slaughtered 2 seconds later like in Dark Souls..

I guess that's the tradeoff for the speed of combat increase.
