Okay....so I got killed by a big dude carrying a sack....now Im in some fucked up dungeon place with some of the creepiest fucking music...

is this normal?

Can someone spoil the next skill weapon after the starter one? There are already 3 strength ones :(
The saw spear seems sorta skill-based; it has a D in skill scaling instead of an E and has less strength scaling than the cleaver saw.

Definitely not as much of a skill weapon as the thread cane, but it could be a nice alternative.

I've been noticing that in a lot of stream people don't use transformation attacks
People seem to think u have to fight enemies with one transformation or the other

Also, will I ever find a new weapon that compares to the axe?
It is amazing, I tried using the kirkhammer for a while but finally realized it's pretty bad.

Should I send people to the clinic or church? Both seems like bad choices either way.

God i sent that annoying lady near to the dogs to the clinic and im
pretty sure she is dead now, that nurse pretty much implied that with her tone and her creepy laugh at the end of her conversation. Not that i give shit fuck you old lady

I had one PvP fight, it was fun, but healing is so very quick that you need to be in their face constantly.

Yeah... i got the fuck out of there real quick. There's a lantern near, i suggest you take it cause that place is a nightmare for me(lvl 30).

Guys, I found the bell for summon people, but what about the bell to be summoned? Would like to give it a go at helping to the Cleric

I'm on
Rom, The Vacuous Spider
and boy, it's one of the most tedious and boring fights they could have possibly come up with. It's especially great how after you take out the trash ad nauesum, you can easily get one-shot and do it all over again. In fact, I can't think of more than two bosses so far that I'd actually consider fun.

I tried experimenting with them but couldnt really figure out useful combos so I have just been using whip the whole game, havent used cane mode at all

Do people find having auto target switch ON to help or hinder? Newb here. Just waiting for it to finish installing.

I like it because the game is bigger on mobs and having to constantly re-click the button after taking down my first target feels like it would split my attention too much in more heated battles. Just one more thing I'd have to juggle to keep myself locked on to someone who needs killing.

Why do you say the Kirkhammer is bad? I've been using it for about 8 hours and love using it. The moveset is incredibly varied, giving you appropriate attacks for most situations. And it's very fun to use, in my experience.

Now some of you Souls vets have been playing a couple of days, are SL1 runs going to be possible in this game?

Once I've beaten it with multiple classes and know my way around the world and bosses, I'll be giving it a crack for sure (if possible). SL1 runs in DeS and DkS are some of the most fun I've had in recent years.

I didn't engage any adds. But yea one of the more annoying fights.

So am I not supposed to go to
The Forgotten Woods
right after Vicar? I managed to find one lamp post and opened up the shortcut next to it, but as I progressed further those
GOD DAMN GIANT SNAKES
are really tough! It's kinda a maze in there. Got super lost and eventually ganked by hundreds of enemies at once.

What strategy did you guys use for the first boss(which I'm assuming is Cleric Beast). Anything special? Should I bring in more useable items like fire to use on him? Got owned a few times last night on him and wasn't sure if I'm doing anything incorrectly. Thanks!

The doll at hunter's dream reacts to emotes btw. Cool little detail they added there. Love that the voice actress from demon's returned for this one too.

There isn't a class that starts at level 1 unfortunately. Waste of Skin is the lowest, at Level 4. I would definitely assume that a Level 4 playthrough would be possible and feasible.

Also, hi, fellow DS1 NPC!

Thanks. I think I'll try it ON at first and see how it goes.

OK poll for fans of Souls:

Flasks or Blood vials? I think I actually like flasks better. Seems like vials are more similar to grass in DeS, which I thought was easy mode

Which game has better RPG elements (I notice BB is more streamlined)? Too early for me to tell. Only beaten the Cleric Beast so far

Anyone miss magic? Nope...I've always been a melee fan

PvP more enjoyable in BB or DeS/DaS? Haven't gotten into it yet but I'm REALLY looking forward to BB PvP due to the lack of shields. No more turtling = better fights

Miss weapons in Souls games, or do you like transformation weapons? So far I like the change of pace, but I'm worried that BB will lack quite as much replayability due to this. Who knows though, still too early for me as well.

I had one PvP fight, it was fun, but healing is so very quick that you need to be in their face constantly.

Wow, getting summoned for help is wayyyy easier than asking for help. It seems that there are so many people looking for help there is sort of a queue.

Don't use lock-on, the camera will mess you up in that fight. Molotovs help, just stick and move.

I don't care if this game is hard as hell, I'm buying it as soon as I get a PS4. The combat looks so much faster and smoother compared to the Souls games, and the atmosphere is insane. Definitely hyped.

Okay, I'm off work and just found out I don't have to go in tomorrow.

Time for more non-stop Bloodborne. I can't remember a game in recent memory where I've woken up earlier than necessary before work just to play a game.

Anybody experience or hear about the glitch where the game slows to a crawl (1 frame every 3 seconds or so) after passing through a fog wall?

I hope my playthrough isnt fucked.

Yeah the cane is the one exception I've noticed
The whip mode is just better

I'm not really a fan of the one handed transformations because it seems like the weapons aren't different enough

And holy shit, why didn't anyone tell me how bad the pistol is
Couldn't figure out why I could never stun enemies
blunderbuss is infinitely better

Flasks
Souls
Yes
I don't play PvP so.. Eh
I miss the variety, yes. Trick weapons are cool too tho.

I'm absolutely loving the game, but so far I definitely prefer the Souls games overall. BB does some things better, but a bit more worse.

I haven't paid much attention to the hit boxes in this game, but they're damn nice.

You can parry it pretty reliably, just bait the slow right-paw swipe and interrupt it. Otherwise, just dodge forward to avoid attacks and punish whiffs, and don't get grabbed, that's basically an instakill.
Even in the latter forms? My parties keep missing. I will keep trying.

Vials, way quicker. Sucks that you occasionally have to farm them tho.

Which game has better RPG elements (I notice BB is more streamlined)?

Dark Souls. More build variety.

Anyone miss magic?

I miss replenishable weapon buffs. I'm glad the rest is out.

PvP more enjoyable in BB or DeS/DaS?

BB hands down. No spammy magic bullshit or lagstabs (so far).

Miss weapons in Souls games, or do you like transformation weapons?

I like the transforming weapons, but I miss the sheer variety of Souls.

Looks like only SL4 is possible

...and I just realized I'm infringing on your avatar. I'll change mine :)

Flasks, Blood vials need farming too often.
Never used magic before so no loss for me
PvP seems better, just one fight, a lot faster paced.
Weapons transformations are cool, but I do miss the variety of weapons Although I am early so may be loads more.
