Will other devs even care to match the level design bar from has raised? God damn, Dark Souls 2 disappointed in that area but this.. this is the holy grail.

It really is that good. As is the game in general. Some of the praise may come off as hyperbole, but I'm sorry. The game is a masterpiece.

farming chunks seems a big pain in the ass, those enemies have a very low drop rate.

can you also get them in the Chalice dungeon from drops or chests?

Played for another hour and a half just now after defeating the Cleric Beast last night, and then turning it off to go eat. Then the electricity went out for awhile so unable to resume last night.

But, once the combat starts to click, and you start exploring and seeing the shortcuts and the way the game doubles back on itself to lanterns, you really start to see the usual genius of the Souls games.

That dread in your stomach when you're climbing down a ladder to an unknown spot, and you hear breathing/something making a terrible noise, it sometimes goes from "I'm brave, I can do this" to "I've made a huge mistake".

Damn, that Cleric Beast fight was awesome. I'm really digging the game so far. The faster pace of combat and more versatile move sets make slaughtering even the common plebs soooo enjoyable.

Anyone try this?

"Important: If you boot your PS4 in Safe Mode and choose to Rebuild Database, your load times may significantly decrease. Mine went from 30-40 seconds, to 12-20 seconds. Also, it says it 'may take a couple of hours' to rebuild it, but it only took 3 minutes for me."

For those who have beat the game. Does BB have second half syndrome where it drops off like Souls or does it get better or does it stay the same consistent quality??

That changeover doesn't usually happen for me until whatever it is has already started lunging for me, lol.

Help! am lost,
the old hunter in the dream told me to go t ascend the chapel, I went there and the locked door was open I went there and there was like a tower and after the tower I went the town and there was a dead end, is there a boss there or should I just go back?

I'm worried about triggering NG+. Should I do
Nightmare Frontier
,
Cainshurst, or continue on in Unseen Village?

I would definitely do
Nightmare Frontier if you're working in Unseen Village.
It's about the right level if not a bit easier area.

*Item spoiler*
You get a Chalice after killing Amygdala

Also the
Nightmare Lecture Building
is an insanely easy place to quickly get around 14k souls per run to refill your health vial stock if you're running low. It took me about 10 minutes to almost max out my health vials. The load times for that area is actually quite low seeing as it's a small area so you can jump between there and Hunter's Dream pretty quickly.

I'm frustrated that I have to pretend to be a grown up and go to work and sleep at least 6 hours a night because I want to be Bloodbourne-ing all day, every day.

I beat Father G.
I did go back to get the music box, but I forgot to equip it for the fight, so I just killed him without it.

Which reminds me:
is there actually a safe place to send people looking for one like the little girl and the woman near the dog cages? I gambled on the doctor at the clinic, but she's obviously experimenting on people based on the follow-up conversations I had with the doctor after sending people to her. The guy at the temple definitely doesn't seem on the level either. Is there no true safe haven for these poor souls? I feel like such a monster for getting paid in items by the doctor when the little girl told me she loved me. :-( What have I done!

Curious about this as well. Think I've also heard
You can get into the clinic and dispatch of that woman? So far the creepy temple guy i think is a red herring, old woman I sent there has been fine so far. Also the crow lady doesn't seem too worried about hanging around that area.

I did send the girl to the cathedral but she never arrived there... later I've found here white scarf ... in the tunnel, the big pig ate the poor thing... :(

Total newbie, tried cleric beast for the second time after leveling to 15, upgrading, and getting the hunter armor. Got him to half health, felt good about it. I feel like I'll be able to beat him with practice. I just need to see his attacks more and figure out which to dodge.

I rebuild my database pretty regularly (every couple months) as it seems to resolve minor hiccups and glitches with the OS, but that seems ridiculous that it would cut load times for one game by that much.

Where did you get this info?

landing a revenge backstab on this thing after this was so satisfying

LOL, before I left there I got mauled by that thing rocket blast style. I was up the stairs a good ways down from him thinking I was safe and all of the sudden he vanished and did what looked like a blink strike. It was nuts.

Tell me if you get the item, since it seems that specific one is tied to something, but you may be able to get one from somewhere else if you don't get that one.
The other two are set where they come from, but the third either comes from her, or the prostitute that you can send to a safe area, depending on where you send her or something.

yes i got it. feels awful to kill her.... could you tell me where is the other 2?

I feel like a disabled persons association is going to file a lawsuit against Sony and FromSoftware in the coming months. I must have killed that guy in a wheelchair near the start 30 times, farming bullets.

Are they? I've been using one at work for 2 years with no issues....but now you have me scared.

That's what I've heard. Something about the transfer of info into the memory caches that leads them to fry. It's just a little higher than a standard HDD from what I've been told but if I was upgrading my hard drives on anything in go SSD.

my hands are freezing, stupid permanent fear and stress
lol

anyway, fully explorer the sewers zone as much as I can tell, found at least 3 spots where it loops around to the previous zone (I love that), I gather the place I actually have to go is
across the bridge with the deathball (which I avoided the first time by looping around via the piggie)
? If so Ill go save first since I can just go directly there via the lift

OK I just watched ENB walkthrough #3 and he address it (Concerning the little girl looking for parents side quest).
It looks like if you don't give her the broach she won't just go into dispair and you can send her off to be safe.
NOOOOOO

EDIT: I was wrong, I was so excited I didn't see the out come.
She dies on her way to the church
