Very few high level players to dial in the meta. Probably going to be another week or so. Although, the PvP in this game could be very different since the Bell system throws a monkey wrench into how it has traditionally been done.

No more dropping signs at the bridge and setting up duals. Every invasion will now be random and you have to go and find them. I expect PvP to be a bit of a sore subject for players long term due to the system.

My biggest concern is the level restriction, I just finished the build I wanted to have for this game but I'm worried that no one will even be around my level for PVP (I went off some youtube videos and DS stats).

I really thought BB was going to be big in PVP to make sure this game had legs.

I'm just going to do a slight recap of my coop experiences and what's going on, just to see if anyone else is experiencing it or how to fix it.

Yesterday: my friend and I were easily able to find each other (almost instantly) anywhere in central yharnam and we beat Father G.

Earlier today: Before the BSB, I was able to use the resonant bell and find games fast and play with randoms and help them out. My friend and I had not done any coop since the night before. This was in the old yharnam area.

Currently: My friend and I both solod the game up to Amelia, and beat her (solo, not coop). Now neither of us can use the beckoning bell anywhere in the entire cathedral area. Since the beckoning bell worked at central yharnam yesterday, we decided to go there. Again though, it was greyed out wherever we went making coop with each other impossible. We both have around 1,000 - 5,000 blood echoes, around 20 insight, and both level 35. We haven't gone anywhere past Amelia except to the fight the two hunters to the left.

Chalice dungeon - I created a chalice, and my friend found it using the glyph code. Our beckoning bell actually worked there, so we decided to try it out. After 5 minutes of searching, we never found each other. We were both in the exact same spot, and we could even see our grey silhouettes standing next to each other.

Tldr; coop is fucked up for my friend and I and its getting pretty frustrating.

Just defeat Father Gasoicgne on my 5th attempts. From all of those deaths, most of them was caused by my bad habit of backstepping his attack. My victory also comes from the fact that I side-stepping to his side a lot then launch 1-2 swipe attack. So, my next tips is: Sidestep, don't backstep like you did in Souls or any other game. Bosses here have lunging attack that extended it reach with shockwave. Not only that you still in risk being hit, you also miss the chance to counterattack since lunging attack most of them gives big window of opportunity if you managed to get to the boss's side.

Paarl is optional. Did you see the cutscene at the alter after Vicar Amelia? If so, you know the password to the door in the Cathedral Ward. Go find it and open it.

Well I accomplished a decent amount tonight: beat boss #5 - definitely the easiest boss so far. Beat it on my first try. Wasn't expecting there to be another dead end, though. Not exactly sure where to go now.

Also tried my first Chalice Dungeon and beat the first layer - holy crap this is going to be pretty fun if they're always random. Little upset I used a lot of my items and didn't get anything but a gemstone and barely 1500 souls. Oh well. Pretty fun though.

I love this game, but i might have to call it quits guy

I have wasted all 4 of my insight calling co-op against BSB and despite being close have not beat him..

and now i have 0 insight and feel like im still underleveled...

Same. I lost all insight with network disconnects, too. No way I'm going to beat that boss by myself. Sounds like others have no problem with him, though? I guess I suck. I can't dodge the attack where he bites my head off. I get down to 10 pixels of life or none, and i'm "slowly" poisoned. No chance after that. I've tried over and over and leveled after farming over and over. Guess I better start over and not use any insight this time. Level up until I'm at 100 poison resist and wait 2 hours trying to summon multiple people because I suck. Everyone I've summoned died right after the beast goes into final form, too, btw. So i guess it's not just me having problems with him...

talk to her->fight father Gascoigne->look for the corpse of his wife near the boss area->pick the brooch->talk to the daughter again-> you can choose to keep or give the brooch->then the daughter asks if you know a safezone(you can send her to the Iosefka's Clinic or the chapel)
I sent her to the chapel because i don´t trust Iosefka but the girl never made it. I don´t know what happens with the other option.

I think there are a couple of things going on. In order to ring the Beckoning Bell, the host has to have the Boss still alive for that area. The whole Cathedral area may count Amelia as the boss, so if you and your friend both did it solo, no coop together is possible, only with other randoms who still need it. Same goes for Central Yarnam.

It may also be due to lobbies. I don't know if Bloodborne is the same as previous Souls games, but even if you and a friend were in the same area and could summon, if you were not in the same multiplayer "lobby", you could not see each other.

On his final form he likes to rush at you a lot so if you have the Axe then charge it up and hit him with it. Then it's all about dodging towards him not to the left or the right.

Jeez. I haven't been paying attention to how much I've been getting from mine, but I don't think it's anything that high.

Previous to that the record was like 2.5k. This guy took two Cannon shots and 7 vials. Every hit of his out me at critical levels. He was basically the first Chalice boss, the Undead Giant, but with a cannon for one of his hands.

What is the difference between a Chalice and a Root Chalice?

There should be a 3 slot for gems. It appears after you fortify enough times. You should hve it by now.
